I'm no programmer and yet I understand how difficult it is to program. That being said there are a lot of very smart programmers out there. I'm sure they can figure out something better than what they keep churning out. It almost seems like there is no vetting of code or testing before releases.

Google photos on Android keeps syncing my images even when it was disabled. You can't trust these guys.
Or that video game that is on sale in the off chance you remember to play it later if you happen to be browsing your 200+ game library.
I think that can be true in many situations. I have had sincere failures that on the surface sound like incompetence. It is possible for things to fail so spectacularly it sounds like fiction.
I swear that in my 20+ years of computer work that everyone has a story like this for every brand out there. It seems to literally be bad luck. That being said some companies just have abysmal and evil support ethics. And these days it seems all of them are trying to dial in the device failure to happen after the warranty expires.
The user? Not even worth a full share.
The "nothing urgent" almost always gets left out and I end up a ball of anxiety from it. Just give me some details on what to expect. fuck.

I'm guessing they want someone to fill a slot that had someone with 5 years plus experience so they don't have to do much training. They want to hire and get back to full production.
There are arguments that the reason it is so visible is because the magnetic field is weakening. We are expecting a pole shift/flip which should make things even more interesting.
