The game is what others said and as for what it is it's pretty unique series and good game. But as you said - you can't see it's appeal right away, maybe you are like me and this game will be just boring for you. I tried to play it on PC for more than ten or even twenty hours, with friends and alone. Just doesn't click.

That, it's a grown up person's dream of a place to be. At least for lots of folks out there and me)

And overall it's a good game to play slowly for months.

I liked this song pretty much. I reminds me of another singer I heard in early 2000s, but I cannot recall exactly. Someone like Regina Spektor in Laughing at God, but not her.

First of all look at the album cover with soviet brutalism - I really like it. Not soviet union though, but the cover. ^^

Overall band's music is not something I would listen, but I liked this particular song and text. I find it hilarious that I got acquainted with this song because one youtuber mentioned it as weird choice for being a "TikTok dressing videos theme song" (what!?). And it actually is. It was funny/weird to look at silly videos while hearing these lyrics (translation from random website is below, it is quite close to the original):

A bedpan

A window, a nightstand, a bed
Living is hard and uncomfortable
But it is comfortable to die
An enamel bedpan
A window, a nightstand, a bed
Living is hard and uncomfortable
But it is comfortable to die

And it is quietly dripping from a faucet
And life is unkempt like a whore
It appears like out of a fog
And it sees: a nightstand, a bed
And I try to stand up
I want to look into its eyes
Look into its eyes and cry
And never die, never die
Never die, never die,
Never die, never die

I'm playing two games at the moment:

Yet another run in Nier: Automata, second playthrough, first time on steam deck. It runs surprisingly well.

Stardew valley. For steam deck it's a killer game - 8-9 hours on a battery, perfect for resting.

I also have Snowrunner and Vampire Survivors as my go to games.

Just finished Dungeons of Dreadlock. I do not like puzzle games in most cases (not my genre), but enjoyed this one.

Quite a nice game to spend 5 hours with. Cost peanuts. Was perfect on steam deck.

A lot of guides confusing nowadays.

But overall if you are looking for SPA - React can be bundled with Vite, that's what we have at my current company. Vite is good and straightforward, it is built for the purpose and does majority of the things out of the box in comparison to the Webpack.

If you need SSR, you can use Next, though I would prefer Remix https://remix.run/blog/remix-vs-next, IMO they did better job to API surface than Next.

But I would not bother, unless you need search engine optimization. For majority of web apps that do not need it - benefits of SSR are negligible.

I think it might be people with different taste, though I would prefer it being shown via upvotes and posts of other songs they like of course.

I'm (was) not into such music, but these guys did it on another level. I still wonder where such level of sound work is coming from.

I love everything about this song - vibe, quality of source musical material, record and sound work, voice, texture of guitar, bass, drums, vocal and it's awesome usage of extensive tremolo effect.

It was a great song, but the way it's done in the recording in my opinion makes it awesome.

I still remember how I played Need for Speed and heard this one. This song has such an interesting "lone road night vibe" for me, still listen to it pretty often. I do recommend to listen to the band if this song is something you enjoyed. They are very good.

I did not expect P.O.D. to make two songs I would like this year - AFRAID TO DIE AND DROP.

Though I liked them both DROP is my favorite of two - it's more of their style from first albums. But on the other hand I do love AFRAID TO DIE and Tatiana Shmayluk from Jinjer is a really great singer. And clip is also quite enjoyable.

For anyone who did not think about it beforehand and struggled as me. You can run KDE Connect on your machine and send keyboard and mouse inputs using kde connect. Almost 0 input lag. So you can do all you need.

For me it was terminal and some work with files on dolphin (for emudeck). I'm not used to steam deck touch pads yet and using shortcuts on keyboard made everything a breeze.

You can transfer files, too, of course.

Some Indian metal for you. I love vibes/energy of this song, it reminds me of late 90s, early 2000s, where most of my music taste formed.

Still looking for other great tracks I would like from the band.

I guess it's pretty well known and seen by many, but it turned out I forgot about it completely and ranbomly found it on youtube couple of days ago. Decided to show to my wife - we have watched it twice and added to our playlists right away.

Not only clip is astonishing and interesting to watch (I would really like to go to an industrial robot concert in live if there were any), but also music is pretty straightforward electronics I love it.

I was very surprised when discovered that band as late as in 2021. Not only it sounds great, quality of recording and mastering in this one is awesome (I do recommend listening to it in better quality than youtube offers).

I was like - WTF, it sounds like sound lift of some heavy/glam metal bands from late 80s, and it turned out to be band from that time. ^^

Though I do like some albums from back then, sometimes I wish they sounded more polished, more complex when it comes to recording. It's a matter of taste of course.

Finally migrated from Windows to Linux. For anyone wondering, what is the state of Linux as your primary OS for home PC\laptop in 2023.

I've finalised my Archlinux installation yesterday, I dropped of Linux more than 10 years ago and experience in 2023 in comparison is awesome and beyond even wildest dreams back then:

  • For average user looking for more out of the box experience I would suggest something Arch based (people in comments suggest EndeavourOS, please do your research). Archlinux installation took me quite some time
  • Almost everything works out of the box, by just installing corresponding package
  • KDE Plasma environment is fast and beautiful
  • Pipewire audio server (Jack\Pulseaudio replacement) works great
  • Wayland window server is not there yet, especially if you have Nvidia with proprietary drivers and want to use VR. Waking up, session restoration and other scenarios have issues. Use X11.
  • Wine is great!
  • Music making - Bitwig Studio DAW has linux native version, yabridge allow you to use windows VSTs, which are easily installed via wine
  • Gaming works out of the box with Steam for majority of titles, some games have native linux version. Performance is great. In worst case windows game might loose 5-15% in performance. Was not case for my titles
  • Gaming outside steam is fine too. Use Wine, Lutris, Proton
  • VR is a mixed bag. Not everything is there (Desktop view, sound control and mirroring, camera, motions smooth, lighthouses do not wake up os go to sleep. I use my phone to turn them on/off). But if its not the problem for you, quite some titles work. Tried: native HF Alyx, Lab, windows: Beat Saber and Boneworks. For me it's a surprise, I did not count on it. Performance is great.

So overall my experience is great. Eventually I'm going to get rid of WIndows on other computers and laptops at howe. I can finally wave goodbye to Windows, with lots of ads and bloatware. Alway glad to help with answers regarding installation while my memory and history logs are fresh. ^^
