Oh wow I didn't actually know he was bipolar (checked to confirm it is the case). I knew he was on the autism spectrum.

I can't imagine those 2 play nice together.

A properly fitted n95 mask is very effective at preventing infection.

Simply masking around groups though isn't enough as it can linger in the air. The amount of effort to actually wear the mask everywhere you'd need to is pretty high and one slip up is all it takes. It comes down to trade offs at that point of how often you wear it.

Do you actually blow up test bridges or do you just practice placing the explosives?

No don't you see, putin knew the Nordics were going to join NATO and that's why he invaded Ukraine! 4d chess! Now he has proof and was right to invade!

/s just in case.

There's a portion that only hate Elon and not Tesla, but there's a lot of Tesla hate out there as well, and there has been since even before Elon publicly went off the deepend.

Some of that might be decisions that Elon made for Tesla, but it's still at Tesla.

Edit: but I will take your point and say my use of majority in my OP wasn't correct as the majority here is about Elon.

Also, we hear about the buys and sells after the fact, not immediately.

So there's a lag on decisions that may be impactful

Pretty cool how this was being made for mortars and then it worked well for this

We can also do agrifarming and use the space under the panels for animals to graze or whatever else they've come up with.

You realize that this picture addresses nothing of what I said? It's using 15% when we can get 30%. And still has nothing about what spectrum the plants actually need of what touches them.

Edit: Also a quick search showed 2.9umol/j leds now, and maybe we have higher, so that's up to 870 (3.5x more than image or 62.14% of the sun) hitting the plant now of exactly what it needs instead of 1400 that isn't all what it needs.

Edit: another article from 2017 says the theoretical maximum for LEDs is 4.9-5.1 and we should reach 3.5 within a decade (2027). Also I think I didn't understand the measurement and the 1400 from the sun is the 1400 it needs, but I'm not completely sure.

Also that's 9 years old,

Consumer panels are up to 23.5% now, and you can get bifacial cells that can boost that by up to 30%, so up to around 30.55%

Also the light is bouncing around that room, not bouncing off and then back into the sky like it would from the sun, and it's not necessarily all full spectrum, it's the spectrums the plants need, also reducing power compared to what the sun gives it.

Edit: Making shit up now, but what if photosynthesis only needs 30% of the spectrum, and the bifacial panels are 30% it might even be near equal.

They're bigger so it's hard to know, but it's usually something like 2.9% + 10c a transaction.

At their scale though who knows

Waltz: Vance I heard you fuck couches for fun.

Vance: NO I DON'T

Waltz: That's not proof. If you're gonna fact check me you gotta provide proof! Clearly you fucked couches!

The company’s letter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) stated the door handles could allow water to enter the circuit board assembly, which may lead to the doors opening unexpectedly.

According to Volkswagen, the production halt could last until the beginning of next year as it works to resolve the issue.

This was a really good interview, worth the watch!

It doesn't say what was changed but that makes it a great price again.

It also really messes up the pricing between the 3 RWD which doesn't qualify and the AWD that does since it's only a 1k difference now. I wonder if we'll see them lower the RWD or potentially raise the AWD price?

So both Rivian and Tesla have or say they are going to have range extenders for their trucks, but in both cases even if they are removable and rentable they are huge as trucks are huge. In teslas case it seems to be a permanent change though.

What about commuter cars though?

One thing we really need is cheaper in city commuters and those don't need a long range. That brings costs down and gets more people into EVs, but those will get relegated to 2nd cars in many cases.

If those commuter cars could go to a shop and get an extender added in the trunk though that would make them much more capable of longer trips as well while keeping costs down.

If the battery rental is similar or less to renting a car for the same period then people would opt to use their own car for the longer trip and all the personal comforts that provides.

The batteries would be much smaller as well for a smaller vehicle.

Really cool look inside the factory!

I've been following the strike and sympathy strike happening against Tesla and the similarities to what happened with Toys R Us, and I'm left wondering why the financial sector in Sweden hasn't stepped in by now?

This has spread to multiple countries now, so it's not like this is day 1 of the strike.

Do they consider themselves some sort of thermonuclear option and would rather not get involved unless necessary for some reason?

If my understanding is right, they're what forced Toys R Us to sign an agreement since they couldn't effectively do anything like payroll anymore?

It seems like the logical next step to me at this point unless I don't understand something about how the sympathy strikes work there?
