Absolutely. Bernie Sanders is incredibly popular (on both sides) and Joe Rogan actually endorsed him in 2020. All this talk about Joe Rogan winning the election for republicans is hilarious when you think about it.

Sorry but I don't understand what you're trying to say.

The overwhelming sentiment I've seen on this website is that voters are stupid and should have voted democrat. I'm asking people to focus their energy on what they can actually change. A third party is not realistic. Pressuring the democratic party is hard, but it's not impossible. They caved to pressure and swapped out Biden.

I'm not saying I have the answers, but I know for sure that laughing at how stupid republicans are is counter productive.

You are not going to win 2028 by making fun of republicans. Honestly you look pathetic to me. You're on lemmy shitting on republicans as a way to make yourself feel better about losing the election, it's sad.

Pick yourself up, wake the fuck up, and spend your energy on something that is actually productive. For example, holding the democratic party responsible for their shitty policies and absolute dog shit campaign.

This is the most libbed up comment I've ever seen.

Y'all are fucked until you figure this shit out.

Not to mention the fact that democrats/liberals have consistently failed to counter message against this propaganda or even acknowledge the issues that face americans.

Y'all are seriously failing to see what happened this election.

Joe Rogan endorsed Bernie Sanders in 2020(or 2022?).

Many of Trump supporters just want their lives to get better. They may be incapable of identifying that Trump is a charlatan, but they aren't incapable of seeing someone like Bernie Sanders and realizing he genuinely has their best interests in mind. They may be deluded in thinking the Republican party represents their interest, but they are correct in identifying that the democrats represent corporate interests.

Don't get me wrong, many of these people are xenophobic and republican ideology exploits and feeds that.

My point is that many these people can be swayed and will vote for a candidate like Bernie Sanders or AOC. Someone who actually has their best interests in mind. Someone who, like Bernie Sanders, promises to fight against corporate interests, promises health care for everyone, and promises a livable wage. Most of all, someone who acknowledges that shit is fucked up right now and needs to change. Harris' campaign did none of that.

The democratic/liberal strategy of "Trump is a fascist, vote for us" will never work. It didn't work in 2016 and it didn't work in 2024. Making fun of Trumpers is not an effective strategy for achieving progress, it's counter productive. You are signalling to them that you like things the way they are and that you don't give a shit about their material needs. You're confirming their belief that liberals are out of touch elites (which honestly I agree with).

If democrats/liberals want to win in 2028 they need to stop this shit ASAP. Stop wallowing in your bubble making yourself feel better by shitting on Trump supporters and start pressuring the democratic party to fucking get their shit together. All you're doing is reinforcing in yourself the idea that democrats are good and that anyone who doesn't vote for them is a racists moron. You're blinding yourself to what's actually happening.

All of these comments pointing out the irony and stupidity of poor people voting for someone like Trump disgust me. Wake the fuck up and start using your energy in productive ways, please.

Yeah this is why I've never tried it. When I was still on reddit the way people talked about space age turned me off. It seemed like a massive time sink that was more about upping the logistics to the nth degree than about new mechanics.

I really like space age so far because of how differently I've had to play on the first planet I landed on.

There is no counter propaganda. When Trump lied and said that millions of migrants are coming over the border and committing crimes, the democrats turned around and tried to pass a republican border bill.

They could have counter messaged about how 1. millions were not coming across and 2. illegal immigrants are overwhelmingly just regular people who pay taxes and commit less crimes on average than citizens.

Can we please start holding the democrats responsible for their failures instead of blaming literally everything else.

This is something a lot of libs need to understand imo.

You can rail on about how Trump is going to end democracy until the cows come home, it's never going to sway voters. The average person is not doing very well and prospects look really bad for young people and democrats are refusing to acknowledge that things are broken. They are promising the status quo - and the status quo fucking sucks.

I'm assuming you've played it, but for others reading this: It's more than just bonus content, the base game has been reworked to integrate the planets into the progression.

A Space Age playthrough is different than a base game playthrough basically from the get go.

Factorio addict and I can't resist responding.

It's absolutely worth it in my opinion. They have reworked multiple major systems in the game for QOL improvements (but most of those changes do not require the DLC). The progression has been reworked to fit in with the completely overhauled late game that revolves around traveling to different planets and managing logistics between them. So you're not just getting bonus content.

I'm just dipping my toes into the new content but I think they did a phenomenal job of expanding on the base game without just adding another layer of complexity. I won't go into detail in case you hate spoilers, but when I got to my first planet it was a similar feeling to the first time I played Factorio. It brought back that feeling of winging it and having to work out the best way to solve problems, which I hadn't felt since my first couple playthroughs of the base game.

They actually performed worse with republicans than in 2020 lol.
