Smartphones. I only got one in 2012 and basically went from an old Nokia to having a flat computer in my pocket.

They have many of these where I live. The worst part is that the police will fine cyclists and scooter riders for riding on the road. So everyone is forced onto the sidewalk where scooters scoot between pensioners, kids, and mothers with strollers. What an idiotic backwards system. Peasants, give way to cars. Fudalistic mentality.

It was alright. My college roommate showed me around. Later that year I hired a personal coach for a month to show me how to do things properly.

Kid's teachers. That job is HARD. Tried it and couldn't do it. College, on the other hand, is relatively chill; as long as you stay out of drama and politics.

Mechanical wrist watches. You get a bit of history, a bit of technology, a bit of art. I can see how some people can spend hours shopping. It's kind of soothing.
