It’s been great for me so far, and wanted to read others experiences

Weird. Felt a little self conscious. Mainly did cardio.

That was in 2016. Been 7 years now and it's much better. Seeing progress obviously helps but it's all about consistency to feel more comfortable. Glad you're enjoying going! 💪

Yeah, it was kinda embarrassing at first seeing myself and then seeing all the people there working out with such great physique, however most people kinda dont care so i made myself comfortable

First time was kind of weird, self conscious and all. Since then, I just go and do my thing; care less about what others think. Still avoiding to hog the equipment and be polite and all that. Also I learned more technique so I get fewer injuries, and I go slower on increasing the weights from week to week.

In my case, people just don’t seem to care, i mean they are polite and all but everyone kind of do their own thing. After a week or two, i realized that and became comfortable..

It was alright. My college roommate showed me around. Later that year I hired a personal coach for a month to show me how to do things properly.

Thats great, i got one heck of a coach and he made sure that i wouldn’t leave before completing my workout, i tried to sneak out a couple of times but i always ran into him..
