I have a couple Benchmade Bugout knives and I really enjoy them as my EDC
I know they're a bit pricey, but the fit and finish is really nice, and the Bugout is a great size for a picket knife.

Even if Wagner just leaves and takes it's troops back to Africa, it will be a major loss for Russia.
There's no way Ukraine would ever let them switch sides though. Maybe the Free Russia Legion would work with them to carve out some territory for themselves in Russia, but the only think Ukraine would allow them to do is surrender for jail time.
Not much of a difference really. Fighting Shoigu means fighting the Russian military.
I can here to say this.
Chicken is all of these things. I food prep chicken dishes because I need the right amount of protein. It's delicious and it's one of the cheapest types of meat.
Instances with admins like that will weed themselves out, but I think you make a good point that when you join a smaller instance we should have conversations with our admins and make sure they will work together with their users to drive a better fediverse. There are going to be a massive amount of bad admins starting their own instances because they want power, so make sure you don't waste time with those.
There are so many issues with this tech that are being exposed now that it worries me. "All" should never have been inclusive of everything just because one member of the instance subbed or viewed something for that other instance. Instances should have to reach a certain critical mass before that. There needs to be an "All" and an "Extended".
I honestly have a hard time using it outside of Jerboa. It's not just UI, but functionality issues as well. I don't blame people for being turned off. It's a big part of the reason why I don't think we'll see large scale adoption. And I don't even think the current way things are set up can handle large scale.
Lemmy is a good experiment, but I'm not sure this form of federation is going to work.
Yeah, Lemmy is still a bit rough around the edges in a lot of ways. I hope the surge in users brings some frontend devs over.
The new apps should help a lot, but it's still a bit of a pain to use on PC. I also have issues with the feed just going wild and poping in new posts so fast I can't read anything on the web.
Lemmy needs work, but I'm not here for the design. I'm here to wrestle control away from corporations. Anyone that doesn't understand that is a bot.
It depends on the tech. I'm not convinced this form of federation is going to work. There's already a lot of tech issues being exposed and drama unfolding between the instances.
I also don't think it will see wide public adoption due to how segmented the communities are.
I hope these issues are resolved, and I'll try to stick it out here. I quit Twitter and am trying Mastodon and I'll do the same with reddit. I'm not willing to just sit by and watch corporations take over our society.
Reposting is a long standing tradition on Reddit... I don't see a reason that should change on Lemmy.
It's not just a question about memes. If you see content on Reddit for your favorite topic or game, you should 100% replicate that data over to Lemmy.
If there's a good duplication of content in both places, it makes it easier to move completely over to Lemmy.
I would like to see the entire ad business end. I'd rather just pay for the services I like than be subjected to ads.
I'm a little surprised that monetization isn't something that was planned for in these federated services. All it takes is a few premium features and people will be glad to subscribe.
There was a video about this posted a bit ago. The speaker said basicly this same thing. After the age of 7, the environment that your kid is placed into, and the other people they are around, has for more influence on them that the parents have.
You do your best for the first 7 years, and then you do your best to find the right environment for them for the rest of their lives.
Hi, I saw this cross-posted content on the Local feed and I came here to block this community.
We shouldn't be doing this. It's essentially just spam, and if a community can't survive on it's on content then it is better of not existing.
