The GEN3 blue team armors have existed since before Infinite even came out as they were featured on the cover of Shadows of Reach in 2020, can't believe it took so long to get them in players' hands (this could be said about many parts of Infinite), but good to finally see.

A summer update was teased with an expected release date sometime in early May. The summer update will feature the multiple-times leaked Marauder brute double barrel shotgun!

H5 model definitely looks better, but iirc there weren’t all the required animations, which is why they are using bottomless clip to avoid reloading

I’m guessing this SPNKr reskin was going to be a weapon model and the team repurposed it. FRG (FRSr?) and MA5K both reuse existing animations, so I bet the team doesn’t have any animation support.

Like the MA5K, the team is looking for creative ways to reuse assets to bring new weapons into infinite. This is a completely new weapon in terms of use, it fires six fuel rods with new sounds, effects, and the classic reticle, but reuses the animations for the SPNKr.

It’s a good thing hive lords are super extinct thanks to the heroic efforts of helldivers in the first galactic war

Report to your democracy officer if you still think they’ll return

The anniversary of the release of the game is coming up quick, Feb 8, if there was a major update coming, that is when I would expect it

5’s Warzone was so unbalanced that 343 was able to go crazy with weapons, and I thought that aspect of the mode was a lot of fun. A warthog that fires needles? Go for it. A wraith with cluster mortars? Sure! A plasma pistol that fires black holes? Why not?

And bringing in the M6D as literally the low-poly CE model with a flat shader so it looks like Halo CE instead of remaking the model was so funny.

Seeing some speculation that the laser sounds plus the green flashes might be teasing the return of the fuel rod gun

Update preview stream this Friday (Jan 31) at 1 PM PT on YouTube and Twitch

I cannot recommend the Halo: Evolutions short story collection enough, of the 35ish Halo novels now I would easily put it in the top five if not the top three. Midnight in the Heart and The Mona Lisa are the absolute stars of the collection, but the other stories are fantastic, things like a journalist who goes through the horrors of being a prisoner of a Brute pack (Stomping on the Heels of a Fuss) and a Spartan III headhunter team (Headhunters).

The Mona Lisa also has a motion comic over an hour long, worth every second. Most of the stories have motion comic adaptations of varying lengths.

Official motion comic based off of a short story written by Frank O’Connor for the Halo: Evolutions short story collection following an ODST who awakens from a medical procedure to find his ship has been boarded by Covenant forces and he is the sole survivor. With the assistance of the ship’s smart AI, he works to enforce the Cole Protocol in order to prevent the Covenant from finding the location of Earth.

iOS, unfortunately, but thank you!

I think there are similar options, but I’m pretty burned out on side loading at this point after doing it with emulators for years

The view farming in shorts makes it even harder to avoid as well. Sure, I can block the JRE channel, for example, but that doesn’t stop me from getting JRE clips from probably day-old accounts which just have some shitty music thrown on top. If you can somehow block those channels, there’s new ones the next day, ad infinitum.

It’s too bad you can’t just disable the tab entirely, I feel like I get sucked in more than I should. I’ve tried browser extensions on mobile which remove the tab, but I haven’t had much luck with PiPing videos from the mobile website, so I can’t fully stop the app.

These are feeds that you have to follow, and the “algorithm” is defined by the feed creator. This isn’t BS forcing stuff on people.

The Ithaca, N.Y., university said … that AT&T and Verizon's smartphones, routers and other products violate its patent rights in technology for improving the efficiency and signal strength of Wi-Fi-enabled devices.

The lawsuits said two Cornell engineering professors invented the technology described in the two patents, related to Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 6 wireless standards. Cornell received the patents in 2010 and 2011.

Cornell said that the companies infringe its patents by making and selling Wi-Fi-enabled devices that use the same wireless technology.

I’m confused, shouldn’t they be suing manufacturers? Or are there OEM products that ATT and Verizon are both selling just relabeled which are the products the lawsuit is about?

H5’s action sack had a better variety of games imo, I was hoping for more with the complexity and power of Infinite’s forge, but I’m guessing HS is afraid of complex modes in matchmaking.

They were simple modes, but I really enjoyed the scorpion and mantis versions of Breakout in 5’s AS

Game modes:

  • Duck Hunt
  • Goose Hunt
  • Hex-a-Gone
  • Speedball
  • Maze Craze

For those OOTL, Digsite was/is a team of volunteers from the Halo modding community who were given special access to official dev repositories by Microsoft and Halo Studios for Halo CE, 2, 3, and Reach. They have made quite a few releases since forming a little over a year ago including the full recreation of the Halo 2 E3 2004 demo, cut Halo Reach vehicles added to forge, and tons of cut CE content being re-added, all as mods on PC.
