Exactly. It’s vulnerable to the same thing American styles democracy is vulnerable to.

The UK’s government hasn’t exactly been “stable” over the past decade.

Unfortunately, I’m also being forced to buy it, even though I didn’t break it.

I wonder how many of these people are just now realizing that they have immediate family and friends who won’t be here next Christmas.

The far right extremists are feeling more and more emboldened.

Don’t hide from these assholes. That’s how they win.

Alternative theory. Reverse image search is imperfect.

But Lemmy told me Gen Z was going to save us all this election.

I don’t know about soup trout, but goldfish are thriving.

The Dems did not control both the WH and the Senate when RGB died. They do now - for another 7 weeks.

They’d need to do what they do before bringing a bill to the floor. Make sure that they have the votes ahead of time.

If you get one of those two people bought in on a particular justice candidate, then you could tell the current sitting Justice “it’s safe,” and you could fast-track the new person.

That said, there is still risk of someone having a change of heart at the last minute.

The way this article is framed sounds like bullshit to me. 18.1 was released less than 2 weeks ago. Any phone running this version of iOS would have had to already been in custody and somehow upgraded to this version, or otherwise brought into custody very recently—too recently for this to have already posed such a problem that law enforcement is “freaking out” and reporting it to the media.

A non-insignificant amount of people have been running the public betas because of Apple intelligence, RCS / iMessage toys, UI customization, etc. For example, MixPanel reported about 2% of the iOS install base running 18.0 before 18.0's launch. IMHO, that's pretty crazy for a beta OS.

Looks like the big difference is that this is on by default, it appears to get enabled when cops turn off internet access to prevent access to FindMy and remote lockdowns.

About a year ago this community mentioned to the mods that, unlike with Reddit’s r/videos, community, they wanted to allow political videos.

A lot has changed in the world over the past 12 months, and political videos generate a big chunk of reports, so we wanted to check in with everyone here about political content.

Do you still want to see politics here, or should we limit that content to a separate political videos community like c/memes does? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!

Update:

Looks like most of you would prefer us to separate the content. We’ll start to work to update the rules!

This blew up pretty fast and hard. MKBHD released a wallpaper app that asks for a ton of data and only allows you to download 1080p wallpapers unless you pay $50.

IDs in Apple Wallet use the privacy and security features that are built into Apple devices to help protect a user’s identity and personal information. When adding an ID to Apple Wallet, the state-issuing authority receives only the information it needs to approve or deny the request.

Once an ID is added to Apple Wallet, the information is encrypted on a user’s device, so others — including Apple — cannot access it unless a user chooses to present it. Apple and the state-issuing authority do not know when or to whom a user presents their driver’s license or state ID. A user’s presentment history is encrypted and stored only on their device, and Apple cannot see or access this information.

When presenting an ID in Apple Wallet, only the information needed for the transaction is presented, and the user has the opportunity to review and authorize the information being requested with Face ID or Touch ID before it is shared. Users do not need to unlock, show, or hand over their device to present their ID.
