This sounds super cool! Is this a romhack of the 32x cart, that would need to be run from something like an Everdrive, or is it somehow running from the Sega CD, off of a burned disk? It sounds like the former, but I've never heard of a 32x cart accessing the Sega CD, just the other way around.

Thank you for continuing to write these reviews! As a relatively new 8-bit computer fan (I was team IBM PC back in the day) I adore the seeing the pros and cons of each port in each platform. I'll be firing this up on my C64 later to experience it, and might try to get it going on emulators for the others.

That's always been my feeling too. I think Mario can run faster, and Luigi can jump a little higher, but Peach just controls better. Who knows what kind of maniac would choose Toad.

They did invent a pretty useful knife, so I suppose it would be nice to thank them for that. /s

I wear glasses too, and it's mixed. The headphones work better when they are next to your head, so the arms of the glasses are on top. My current glasses slip when I do this and it drives me crazy, but I have an old pair that doesn't have this problem so I just wear those when I run (the arms bend between my ears a little.) YMMV.

Not sure about the Pro being a Best buy exclusive... Shockz sells them from their site directly. Seems like I've seen them at my local running store too, but it's possible those were just the non-pro.

Shockz are the best I've used, by far. I had a couple different kinds of non bone conducting in the past and the wind noise was always such a problem that I couldn't use them on windy days, similar to what you mentioned. If you haven't tried Shockz lately, you might want to find a running store that carries them and give it another shot. I recently got the OpenRun, and was surprised that they sounded better than the 3 year old "Air by Aftershockz" they replaced. (My dog chewed up the old ones 🫠) The OpenRun Pro are supposed to sound even better, but are not cheap.

Inb4 someone asks how to do this

Linux does exactly what you tell it to, not exactly what you want. There's a big difference.

13 year user. Reddit communities helped me get through some tough times. I haven't visited in ages, but R/stopdrinking is one of the reasons I'm able to cosplay as a functional human. Many hobbies and passions were found and expanded there. I mod a small subreddit. I didn't delete my account, but it went from visiting multiple times a day to now about once a week.

TBH it makes me pretty sad, and feels like a 'small death' of something I cared about more than I fully realized. I'm still mourning it in some ways, but am also excited about the 'old internet' feel of Lemmy and the fediverse and being part of that ride.

I didn't know this was a thing, and I've tried to read everything by William Gibson, so thanks for sharing!

TPU is tricky. Did you tune All The Things for it, separate things PLU settings? Off the top of my head I use 230 nozzle, 40 bed temperature (instead of ~200/60) and the retraction settings are different. I think the base speed had to be tuned too. Even then, my prints don't turn out as smooth as id prefer. The balance of walls and infill numbers can be a dance.
