What did they do to deserve that?

Stop. Please. We can only get so erect.

Relatively speaking

Private businesses engage in extremely risky enterprises everyday, it's why things like explicit liability exist. The issue with something like this is their cost benefit analysis tells them that succeeding would create diminishing rates of return. Solving fusion reaction for the purposes of generating electricity eliminates a form of scarcity. Scarcity or manufactured scarcity is the only thing that enables corporations to continually increase profits.

Even in religious circles the forgiveness part is normally left out. The phrase often repeated is "Jesus died for your sins" without any mention of forgiveness. Since that is the common turn of phrase then this depicts children suffering/dying because of the sins of someone else.

When my dad died my wife, myself, and our two boys, moved in with my mom because she has no idea how to take care of normal life stuff. My brother lives in the same property as her and couldn't be bothered to check in on her because he was, understandably, distraught. For two years of living there my mom leaned on me but only ever asked me once how I was doing, my wife only ever complained about living there and never asked how I was doing, yet insisted we should stay if I suggested leaving. I have three super close friends, and I don't think I would have made it without them.

Check in on your friends, even when they're not going through something traumatic, because you may be the only one who does.

Because it's misleading at best. If you and I were racing and I moved at twice your speed for four hours it would be misleading to say you were outpacing me when you start moving faster than me for four minutes. Just because you are now faster than me you are still very far behind and therefore it makes no material difference how fast you are currently moving. American workers are still in a hole caused by stagnant wages and corporate price gouging that's lasted for decades.

Ironically he hates playing it because of all the extra rules, but loves creating characters because of all the extra rules. Writing that out I think I just realized if I take out BAB progression and replace it with proficiency bonuses and have multi attack rules just be 5e rules I think all his issues would evaporate.

I would be, but one of our friends has decided that 5e is the only system he wants to play, and we all love him too much to play without him. We don't hate 5e, we just don't love it.

Back in my day we got an extra attack at 6th, 11th, and 16th level, and each one was at a cumulative -5 penalty, AND WE LIKED IT!
