Playing competitive games for 15+ years has ruined "meta" for me. "Did you see the new meta glasses?" Does not mean they give good stats. Rather, the bulky frame, need to charge next to my phone, and red-flags for need to record your whole life and are decidedly off-meta.

I assumed "root of 5 year minimum marriages" being contributed to hookup apps was single digits of likelihood. I assumed this didn't work at all unless it was a fluke. The company has no interest in matching you with long term compatibility, and every interest in matching you with people who have attachment issues and will, at best, fuck you, then leave you on read, or at worst never match you so you pay and pay hoping for a single message from your desired pool of people.

Compared to paid websites that you survey for (like Match) where the goal was initially "find a long term partner". And I feel like those are a con too.

No, that's usually a rural thing. And those are usually cropdusters manned by farmers who, while I may not agree with politically speaking (based on the 8500 flags per section of irrigation), are doing a very expensive component of their job. And even then it's usually farmers with massive acrages that necessitated a plane over a Sprayer Tractor. They might do tricks and stuff when turning around but excessive trick flying about is how you wreck your plane.

Sure some wealthy people do have these private little planes/helicopters for recreational use. But they're far from cheap and still must answer to the FAA during flight. They pay insurance by the hour when in flight, and lying/fudging numbers can cost your pilot licence. (Google says it can take about 6 months for your 20 hours of practice flight time you pay for, totalling approximately $10-20k)

If you have an issue with a pilot flying too low, call the local airport, Tower Control might just find out a new plane owner has not reported their flights.

I imagine the internal conversation plays out a little like this:

Ok but there's many forms and locations for it, this particular case is treatable and has a high success rate.

"Are there really? Oh well, we only have a slip here says Diagnosis- Cancer and survival chances of 'cancer' listed as 10%. It doesn't seem worth the money to gamble on a 10% chance for anything!"
