They have two layers. In the summer you want to brush out the insulting undercoat, but leave the topcoat as it protects against sunlight. A shaved husky will overheat in the sun and can easily get skin cancer! It also doesn't grow back properly. The husky in this picture will never have a normal coat again as it has his fur ruined for the rest of his life.

There isn't any valid medical reason that requires to shave a husky entirely. Only people who don't understand how their coat work do it. It is basically animal abuse and it makes me sad every time I see this picture.

That only works if you're using the website. I'm in sync and just want it to open in the YouTube app.

Yeah, kde connect can control media players on your desktop and automatically pause them when a call comes in. To make it work with Firefox I do now realise it might be limited to kde desktops only though. But if you have that, all you need is to install the plasma integration extension for Firefox (which does a couple of cool things) and then kde connect can see Firefox's media as well.

The first time it paused my YouTube video inside Firefox when a call came in on my phone, it blew my mind. And then when the call ended, it just casually resumed the video. I love it. That, the clipboard syncing and easy sharing of files between devices make it absolutely awesome to have.

Isn't app development a recurring cost? It's not like you just work on it for a bit and just forget about it once you got a version out. Especially if it's using a service (lemmy) that is still in development and is constantly changing.

I get that on hot after only 5 posts. Everything after that is a minimum of 1 year old, and only the first 3-5 post are recent. It's kinda funny reading the comments on those posts as there are a lot of lost people commenting on it right now, thinking it's something recent.

Most likely if you don't visit for a week, you will get logged out. But if you do visit before it expericed, it just resets the cookie for another week.

I'm not on kbin so I cannot check, but that's my guess.

I don't know about it. Look even at the usernames. It's @[email protected], it's structured like an email. Even for instances, /c/piracy is not a thing, it is [email protected] in Lemmy world. Even Mastadon has the same structure of name@instance.

Every community has their own sets of rules, own set of moderators and culture. If you don't like how one is moderated, go to another one (basically how reddit works too, except there you need to change to name to make an alternate community)

I feel it's been broken for a few days now. I used to see some recent threads (<12h old) in there, now it's all 2 and 3 day old stuff. I barely get any fresh content in there.

Regarding not being able to make new communities: We're all federated. What's wrong with making a community on a different instance with your lemmy.ml account?

Sounds like a cat in heat to me?

I would definitely unplug it. If you, someone else, or perhaps even a pet accidentally closes the door and it turns on with nobody realizing it bad things can happen. It will basically microwave itself and if you leave it running long enough it creates a big fire risk. It is a small mistake to make with a high risk.
