If you realy want to delete your data, try a client like redact.dev that batch overwrites all your posts and pictures.

You test in dev? You mean you don't have a Q&A environment? or staging?

Highly recommend Tripplite

I got me one of these used (with good batteries) for $100

https://www.newegg.com/tripp-lite-smart1500lcd-5-15r/p/N82E16842111052

They have an external connector in the back for adding external batteries and the menu to do so is analog.

I added a golf cart battery to mine tripping the capacity for very very cheap.

Look in the used market.

If you want something better, Eaton is the go to, look for used deals in marketplace / craigslist. I found someone selling Used industrial Eaton UPSs with extended batteries for 150$ the set

This is only applicable if you drain them all the way repeatedly (over draining of the battery leads to sulfate forming on the plates which is)

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0378775303009340

I combat this by over sizing my batteries. I have a lead one in a tool box I use for camping and I recharge with a solar panel, It's a standard car battery that for my use lasts 6 hours or so. Normally I use it for a couple hours (between dusk and time to go to bed) to use a laptop, maybe a speaker and an LED light and then I charge it during the day while I go hiking via solar panels.

If you care for them they can last a long time. There's also charge controllers you can install to keep it between 20 and 80% charge (for best life) but that's kind of overkill for my purposes.

Having said that, yes ... deep cycle batteries are a lot better, and even more so are Li Ion and solid state ... but they are also significantly more expensive, and I like to use whatever I have at hand.

I mean, realistically. Have they ever both been seen in the same room at the same time?

This was a HUGE part of my reddit experience and I have yet to found an alternate.

I began using kbin instead of lemmy because of this userscript which has pretty much the exact functionality I'm looking for

https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/469175-kbin-hide-posts-after-voting

but Kbin blocks a LOT of communities that I want to interface with. I feel like I'm missing out if I'm not on Lemmy ... but I feel like I hate the user experience without the automatically hiding posts :(

Any advise?
