I say this as a Democrat that used to be a republican. You think our side is all sunshine and rainbows? Neither side is perfect it really is the option of the least bad candidate and that is the issue. The two party system is a failure but it's what we have.

Yes in my opinion the democrats are better than the Republicans but that doesn't mean they are without fault. Everyone has an agenda and can make mistakes we are human after all.

Thanks for putting time and effort into explaining it for us non sciency types. What you said makes a lot of sense

I went down this rabbit hole last night. This dude accurately summs it all up in about 10 minutes. First 10 minutes of the video

If you have time there are more, longer, videos in the video description

OK, so the "Current" member of the armed forces is only current because in the military you need to be active duty in order to be in detention.

I'm a little confused as to the wording here. Typically detention is in the brig and if they are in the brig regardless of what rank they went in as they are busted down to private.

I understand artistic liberty but it seems they are intentionally stretching this. And i while heartedly understand that there could be some active duty Marines that are neo nazi's. The examples given are a stretch to me.

In sync for reddit you could look at your hidden posts. I prefer to have hidden messages stay hidden. But hey to each their own :)

Lj, i appreciate the work and am loving being back to a familiar feel. I was wondering if there was a quick way to hide instances that i don't want to see on my feed. I typically hide other language posts simply because i can't read it or would the auto translate feature of ultra take care of this issue for me?

This is what gets me. I look into software for my company. Someone put up a open source alternative. I expressed my concerns with a small open source project and they acted like i murdered his first born. Well past the point of unprofessional and into the HR realm.

I'm not against open source by any means but there is a place for everything. This just was not the place for this specific product with only a handful of devs and no support. If a system goes down we need to have someone we can call.

I'm not disagreeing with you per say. Homefield advantage isn't nearly as big of an advantage as it used to be. The logistical train the us has had extensive experience using over the decades and the strides made in surveillance are just insane.

Yes there is the population, time to fortify and all that. But the big factors of being far from home, not having resources, and not knowing what you are walking into are not nearly as bad as it used to be.

That's what gets me on these things. If you want to be a dick and make sure your car isn't hit go park or in the boonis! Nobody goes out there, don't have to worry about carts, take as many spots as you want! Shoot for a record of you want try to get 6! But why tf are you doing it in close parking spots?

Connect for lemmy has gotten better now that i can hide posts without interacting with them.

Not an lawyer, just my 2 cents. The memorization of specific things is not the true end goal with tricks like this. Teaching people how to apply these to help them memorize things that they need in the future is. They are principles to build off for further education/personal use.

Same here. I love sync but connect has been alright. Have you found a way to hide posts? That is what I'm missing the most at the moment
