Well if you feel I'm mansplaining then I'm willing to hear you out. If you'd like please elaborate on exactly how I mansplained feminism and allyship.

I feel like you just want to be angry, I find it sad that you don't want people to have the ability to self identify as feminists, feels very counter productive.

I know I am an ally because of my friends. My friends would not be my friends if I was some 4chan trolling women hating degenerate, and some angry internet person who is looking for an argument won't make me second guess that. 😊

Also "you being an ally is for the oppressed group to decide" is a really ignorant statement, a group can't collectively decide something like that, those groups are made up of individuals with individual beliefs. Thinking of them as a hive mind like that gives credibility to right wing conspiracies, which again is hurting your own cause.

You know the more I think about it the more I think you are actually some 4chan troll on here trying to enrage people into hating feminists.. that would be very uncool. Either way I'm done with this conversation since it's not really a conversation, its going no where haha, enjoy your weekend.

I wish it was that simple, but I am living in Canada and currently we have a left leaning minority government who formed a coalition with an even more left leaning government and they both keep saying they want to help the climate crisis but they both keep letting companies log old growth forests or start new oil drilling operations. The problem isn't which politicians we have it's the fact that the politicians are in big oils pockets regardless, just some more than others.

I know I'm complaining a lot, and no I don't have any solutions, I wish I did.

Hmmm, if you read my comment you would see that I was talking about a tiny tiny fraction of overall feminists, which again I identify as. That's why I used the term feminazi when referring to those extremists because they do not accurately represent the rest of us feminists.

If you want you are free to re-read my comment, and maybe you will actually understand what I was saying. Or you can ban me if you're incapable of hearing other people's thoughts even when they are an ally. If that's what you choose to do I think that's your loss, but that's just my opinion.

I am a self identifying feminist, and also a male. There are many important women's issues that have yet to be solved even living in Canada (US is worse and Iran is worse again etc) but it does make me sad that a lot of feminist women get radicalized by feminism (they are a small small minority of women).

I have met some women that refuse to acknowledge that there is sexism against men, and that we do have certain societal expectations put on us as women do. Some of these women really believe there being a patriarchy means that no men have struggles in their life due to their sex. Those radical feminazis are usually unreasonable, that is why they are such a tiny minority of women, but their existence is a stain on the term, and a great escape goat for any dumb non critically thinking man who thinks that the women are out to get him.

There is no solution to this, a rebranding most likely would not even reduce this as an issue, unfortunately there will always be people who attach their internal anger onto a cause and use that as justification to be a shitty person instead of going to therapy.

What a typical politician response "we are doing more than the last guys" but as they mention in the article the more doesn't stop at climate action policies, it INCLUDES MORE development permits than Trump did in the first 2 years of his presidency.

We are so fucked all these old dinosaurs are trying to appease other dinosaurs it's like bro you are at the grave already and your using your last year's to make a legacy about how you fucking murdered our future.

I disagree, our problems are mostly because of gross governmental mismanagement, that is unlikely to change whether we bring in more immigrants or not.

We need a way to hold government leaders in critical sectors accountable for their failings

Bonus points to the fact that all trades jobs are under paid and most are understaffed. Gonna be hard to build new homes when the home builders are too hungry to work.
