I'm loving it so much. Last night was the most fun gaming night I have had in years. Quickplay is working for the most part for me too. It usually still fails 3-4 times before it will connect. Also, I started solo and sent an SOS beacon and had 2 players show up very quickly, so that is an option too if anyone is having issues with quick play

Well that's just not true. I have about 50 hours and only have 2 items left to unlock everything. That being said, I had all the equipment I actually wanted to use across all 3 classes by hour 20 or so. As someone who used to play older battlefield games, the progression feels similar and not unnecessarily drawn out.

I assume it's a symptom of the switch to 3rd person. Would still be nice to have. I'm interested in a DF review to see how graphically intense it is and if this is possible down the line

I think "approachable" is a more apt term than casual. From what I've seen so far it's easy to start, hard to master. On the surface level it's a run and gun horde shooter. But a lot of mechanics are well thought out and deep.

Plus being thematically similar to Starship Troopers makes it easier to sell to my friend group because it's a known quantity that they can understand. Additionally, the heavy PlayStation promotion of it makes it essentially a second party title, so people who trust PS exclusives will likely trust this as well.

Based on your mention in the other thread, I watched the KF video where they talked about it. I usually align with Greg's opinion on most games. I can't wait to jump in...FOR DEMOCRACY!

That's great news! I've been out of the house all day, but I couldn't stop thinking about it, which for me means if I don't buy it I won't be able to get it out of my head. So I pulled the trigger and have it downloaded and ready to go. I probably won't even get to play tonight, but now I can relax knowing my decision has been made.

Now I just need to finish the Finals Battle pass before I get sucked into HD. I'm too close to the end to stop now

I've spent all day today watching reviews, interviews, and gameplay and it looks amazing. I'm def gonna pick it up, but since I don't know if I'll be able to convince my friends, I might wait until they roll out the fix for public match making before I do.

Normally I'm down to shit on F2P, but The Finals only has cosmetics for purchase with real money. All equipment is unlocked via gameplay only.

You can look up the minutes from the exact meeting where they discuss the wording of the amendment. There is an official record of these discussions. This exact question was asked and it was confirmed that the President is included. I don't have a link atm, but someone posted it in another thread.
