I had hoped. But I also hope to win the lotto. And of the two I felt like me winning the lotto was more likely.

Elected or not, I seriously doubted anything would happen. Via he bribes the right people, the people who were literally worshiping him do what they can to get charges dropped, or the whole proceeding would take so long he just dies old age.

Actually, saying you don't know, when you do, in the right context is a great teaching utility with kids.

They could ask like, why something is or does and while you know the answer, it's much better to foster their curiosity and help then learn and understand instead of just giving the answer.

VSCode is absolutely fine.

Most of these comments can be reduced to either

  1. I use CLI by the way...

  2. Hating on VSCode because it's Microsoft product and for no other reason.

A Gitlab/GitHub account is free. VSCode absolutely lets you type git commands if you prefer that, The GUI only provides access to the most common actions you will do. And I could be wrong on this, but I feel like the discard button does prompt the user that the files will be permanently deleted and you have to click okay. But maybe that only applies to tracked files, not sure off the top of my head.

With the time machine plot I didn't even question the massive exposed brain.

It's hair...

I mean that's a fun speech and all but they actually address it. Look into the Heisenberg uncertainty principle. Then do a quick search for the Heisenberg compensator.

I mean, that's been an accurate statement for decades.

Fireworks and red pandas have both existed at the same time for hundreds of years. Red pandas first discovered in 1825 by a French zoologist. One would assume it didn't just blink into existence (however, I can't prove it). Fireworks came about around 200 BC.

One would presume that there's been a lot of overlap.

It's possible the fireworks exacerbated a problem but it's not the root cause.

Same(ish). Half mile walk to and from school every morning. I was in kindergarten. I was escorted a few times to teach me the route. By 5th grade I was occasionally riding bike or walking 3 miles across town.

It is a depiction of a child.

Your implying, that so long as information can't be validated and the image can't be verified as a real person it's ok. Cool, all you need is a filter and CP is fine!? Pictures of hate crimes are cool because it's just a picture?

What I find weird is the number of people in Lemmy who are trying to define a grey line when it's CP and when it's not. Reddit had a very real problem with CP and starting to think Lemmy very much does.

It's a really interesting tool. With games integrating with it so certain things show up on the tracker can really help you find the clips you're trying to export out.

UI is a little fiddly yet needs work yet
