[–] Blurghglurgh 8 points 9 months ago (2 children)

Based on a true story? What did you do, OP??? 😳😳😳🤩

[–] Blurghglurgh 5 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Nice one, cheers! 🌟 Keep up the good work!

Welcome to Lund! Here's a practical guide to the city.

Lund is a medieval city with old buildings such as the Cathedral (sv. Lunds domkyrka) and Katedralskolan. The medieval city centre is situated east of the main railway station (Lund Centralstation or Lund C).

Getting around

Bike Biking is very popular in Lund and is the most commonly used mode of transport within the city. Bike infrastructure is OK, but not the best. Make sure to get a bike. The municipality sells bike by auctions on this website: [https://lkpab.se/cyklar/cykelauktion-2/](Lunds kommuns Parkering Cykelauktioner)

Public transport, Skånetrafiken Skånetrafiken is the local transit agency in the Skåne region. The easiest way to travel with Skånetrafiken is to download the Skånetrafiken app. Skånetrafiken runs all public transport in the region, including the Öresundståg to and from Copenhagen. Therefore you're able to travel with one ticket on all modes including Öresundståg, Pågatåg, all buses in Skåne (yellow regonal buses and green city buses) and the Lund tram. Students with Mecenat get a 25% student discount.

Lund is served by one tramline and seven bus lines. The central train station is served by every single line. Departure frequency for buses and trams vary between 5-10 minutes during peak. Big interchange points are Lund C and Universitetssjukhuset. Trains to Malmö and Copenhagen (and CPH Airport) run 24/7 with departure frequencies as high as every 5th minute during peak.

The app is a great travel planner. It is available in English and Swedish. Be sure to change your Google account/Play Store/Apple account/AppStore region to Sweden, or else you may get an error message about the app not being available in your region.

Housing

AF Bostäder AF Bostäder is by far the largest provider for student housing. Both dorm rooms (sv. korridorsrum) and Rent is usually quite reasonable for students and usually includes internet, water and electricity.

K2A K2A has two student apartment houses in Lund. Both are quite newly built. Parasollet is situated right besides the Solbjer tram stop, and Helgonagården is located near Universitetssjukhuset/LTH. K2A charges for electricity and warm water. Rent is a bit higher than with AF Bostäder.

Michael Hansens Kollegium Michael Hansen offers private corridor rooms for reasonable prices in the Tuna area, close to LTH, Tunaparken and some student nations.

Blocket Bostad There's some reputable private landlords offering student accommodation on Blocket Bostad. There's a few whole privately owned villas in Norra Fäladen that function as student housing. Beware of scammers though, as there are some.

Studentnationer Lund has 13 studentnationer (student nations) which is the main entertainment space for students in Lund. Apart from nightclubs, bars and other events, they offers both apartments and private corridor rooms. Any student can chose to be active at a student nation, increasing their chance to get accommodation.
