This is actually really cool. Insanely expensive, but really cool. 128GB of LPDDR5!
Nice. Yeah, I do that a bit. I've got some media services like plex, jellyfin and calibre. I run Caddy for reverse proxy. I've got immich for photos. Nextcloud for files. A couple websites.
I've been looking for a good FOSS budget tracker...seems like local gnuCash is still the best. Also looking to get a good system for android backups. Currently I just backup photos and files, but it would be cool to do full image backups.
They would have had to put a hub down for more usb3 ports. A hub takes board space and adds cost. Intel removed a bunch of usb ports from the mobile soc lines.
Nothing uses the NPU as of now
Start off by telling us what Veganuary is!
Been vegan off and on since 2004...and I've never heard of it.
Wow. I had no idea what I was missing from my life until now
I would have bought one of the mini-PC, but wasn't ready to upgrade. Now I am. Within 18 months I will have an ARM miniPC beast!
I went out of my way to purchase prusa the first time. With these new developments, I probably won't.
Yeah, the enclosure is a driving factor as I'd like to branch out to different materials. The AMS seems pretty awesome as well since I've been wanting to do multi color for a while now.
It will be a significant speed upgrade...but the quality is only a little better. It's one of the things holding me back. Not sure I really need to upgrade yet.
I've been thinking about upgrading my MK3. It was a hard choice between Prusa and bamboo. This makes the choice a bit easier.
Spacepod by Carrie Nugent is hands down the best podcast about space. She interviews a different expert every week and gets them to share and explain their research. Fantastic. Hooked me from the beginning.

Some episodes are better than others, but they are always jam packed full of information.
Edit: Also, Carrie is an astronomer, so sometimes her and the guest fully geekout on a topic.
Lots of negative comments here towards AI. Just curious, do you guys use it currently?
My work got me a perplexity pro subscription and it has honestly made me more productive. They've also rolled out some AI analysis features in some basic simulation SW I use and it saves time. Granted it's a very narrow focus.
