I am wondering the same, mentioning the specific hardware makes very little sense, when it could just be mentioned as Linux/Windows/PC and Android/GrapheneOS/etc.

It would arguably be more informative too for people looking for alternatives for their device platforms.

Sharing another app suggestion(s) for Android: Tubular [0] or the more up-to-date LastPipeBender [1].

Both apps differ from NewPipe and its variants by integrating with PeerTube along with YouTube, apart from providing features like SponsorBlock and ReturnYouTubeDislike.

I have started using PeerTube much more often as my subscriptions from YouTube and PeerTube are now shown together, which makes for a seamless and superior experience altogether.

It’s ironic that the most reasonable and smartest character of the Task Force M (as per Waller from episode 1) met its end with what was just a bit of pushing from her teammates. I guess she was the most human among the Task Force.

As a character, The Bride definitely got more attention in this season

As for Circe, I agree the character was underutilised despite being in majority of the episodes. Episode 4 was her last appearance, IIRC.

Also, considering Eric’s whole arc this season, it was funny as it accomplished nothing. His reunion with The Bride was anticlimactic from Eric’s perspective. From The Bride’s perspective, it was as common as any reunion from their centuries old feud.

Given there is no thread for thoughts on the overall series with comments enabled, I shall use this one instead.

The show was fine and fun, and a nice start for the new DCU. Episode 4 remains my favourite episode, and Dr. Phosphorus' back story being preferred among all the back stories.

Is it really that surprising that sparrow dropping soup tastes disgusting.

Is it really that surprising that of all members of Task Force M, it was Nina? It was almost predictable from the start of the episode, given it is written by James Gunn.

A double length episode would indeed be a pleasant surprise, but if that was the case, they would have made it an eight episode season instead.

Surprisingly, I found that this episode juggled the main story and character flashbacks much better, while still moving the main story forward within the same 20 odd minutes as the other episodes' runtime. It becomes more contrasting in comparison with the previous episode.

I did look into this while researching the phone, while still knowing that it is not a practical approach for most people. However, HMD phones are absent from the custom firmware scene.

E: Instead, I found a lot of news articles on HMD's erratic update schedules for its phones.

I was about to buy this phone as a Christmas gift to someone who was a fan of the Nokia Lumia phones, but the high reparability makes little sense when the software support is only for two years from the phone's release date.

I have an old ThinkPad T42 coming my way. I plan to use it alongside my daily driver mainly for reading, emacs, and retro gaming. I will be dual booting a lightweight flavour of Linux (TBD) and Windows 98 on it.

However, I am a bit concerned about its ability to handle today's internet, with all of its heavy websites.

I would love to hear from those of you who are still using old ThinkPads (or other vintage laptops) in 2024. How do you make it work? Do you use lightweight browsers, specific configurations, or lightweight websites to get around the limitations of older hardware?

Are there any specific tips or tricks you can share for getting the most out of an old ThinkPad on the modern web?

I am looking for a typeface that complements well to the one that I use to write code (JetBrains Mono). I will be using this to write documents and articles.

For further context, I am configuring Emacs' org-mode where I would be using both typefaces together. I could use JetBrains Mono for both purposes as I find it capable. But I would like to explore my options.

I have also looked at Iosevka. It offers variants for coding, reading, and writing. But I would prefer to stick with JetBrains Mono as much as I can for coding purposes.
