Die Kosten für die Fußball-Europameisterschaft in Köln könnten auf mehr als 18 Millionen Euro steigen

Die Verwaltung hat der Politik nun einen Dringlichkeitsantrag vorgelegt, nachdem der Stadtrat zusätzliche Kosten von rund 4,4 Millionen Euro genehmigen soll.

Weiter in die Höhe schießen könnten die Kosten, wenn die deutsche Fußball-Nationalmannschaft bis ins Endspiel kommt. Dann könnte die Fanmeile am Rheinufer insgesamt sieben Mal genutzt werden. Die Stadt beziffert die zusätzlichen Kosten auf rund 3,5 Millionen Euro für Sicherheitspersonal, Absperrungen und Sanitäranlagen
