Sequels and prequels have already taken over the movie business. Now they’re coming for TV.

Honestly, for all the objections I have when people decry modern TV and the golden age as ending, TV copying film and becoming bogged down in spin-offs and sequels will start to hurt the industry in terms of quality

I really hope we don't see a glut of spin-offs across the streamers. People should be less credulous.

Hardly new, they've toyed with these before, failed attempt with Stranger Things and talks as far back as House of Cards. Plenty of TV shows have had spin offs too like Breaking Bad and Cheers as too notable exemplary spinoffs. He'll Frasier even has a reboot.
