Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

That's all the rules!

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) on Sunday warned of an “authoritarian expansion of power” by the Supreme Court after it released several controversial opinions in it’s last week of the term. “The courts, if they were to proceed without any check on their power, without any balance on their power, then we will start to see…

Start calling it a regime like we do for enemies of the US.

The MAGA regime disregards precedent and disregards the facts of the case when making Court decisions. The website wasn't real, there was no gay wedding, the man she accused was happily married to his wife, it was all made up! That's not just authoritarian, it's fascist.

It's a meme dude. Often when the US is pushing for a coup there will suddenly be suspiciously English speaking sympathy magnet posts on Twitter begging the US to intervene in their country.

mr biden my name is 種族污辱. I am 7 years old. Every night president Xi Jinping comes into our backyard and steals eggs from our henhouse. Please send McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle. My country yearns for freedom

Gotta say, it's refreshing to see AOC's name in a headline and not see a bunch of hate and misogyny in the comments.

Definitely not a good look for the Supreme Court. They should not be involved with the legislative process either for good or bad.

[–] Eclipciz 10 points 2 years ago

Yea they shouldn’t be involved with legislating but our legislature and the people meant to represent us have devolved so much that the Supreme Court is basically the only functioning legislating body—and has been for a long time, atleast since Roe vs. Wade.

Our legislature is a failure, the Supreme Court as it stands wouldn't have much power or authority to make these legal changes if this country actually made laws.
