Can I use my Lemmy account with Mastodon ? (sh.itjust.works)

I signed up for an account on another Lemmy server as part of the recent migration from Reddit.

Based on my research about the Fediverse, I should be able to use my Lemmy account with Mastodon servers. However, I can’t seem to use my account with the Ice Cubes app. Is anyone else trying to do this or am I misunderstanding something? Maybe I should try another Mastodon client?

No, Mastodon and Lemmy account did indeed can talk to each other because there are part of same Fediverse. But from server to client (masto server to icecube, lemmy to jerboa/liftoff), they use different api (some sort of language the apps use to talk each other).
Lemmy can only login to Lemmy appz like Liftoff, Thunder and Jerboa. And Mastodon can only login to their apps.

You can view and reply to Mastodon toots and they can post/comment on Lemmy

But the experience is pretty clunky. And no you definitely can't use a Mastodon app to login to a Lemmy account or vice-versa
