Is there any sort of rough timeline for upgrading to 0.19? Apologies for the impatience, but I am so excited for some of the new features (particularly scaled sort and the moderator feed).

Sorry, but this one I am going to wait a bit with upgrading.

Lots of under the hood changes that are potentially problematic to deal with and x.0 versions have been historically a mess with Lemmy. Also I don't have a lot of time currently for trouble shooting.

Once a significant number of instances have upgraded without issues and/or a bux fixing point release is made, I will consider upgrading as well.

Doesn't look like there's a changelog for the most recent version yet but the features that seem to be most relevant to users are:

scaled sort
controversial sort
instance level blocking
moderator timeline (shows only communities you moderate)
lots of general performance improvements

Looking again, I think I had overestimated the significance of lemmy.ml upgrading. I don't think it's quite as close to release as I had expected. Relevant post from the devs: https://slrpnk.net/post/4374377

lemmynsfw.com already upgraded to 0.19: quite the experience really. u could make an account there and get a taste until ur home instance decides to upgrade
