"The party of personal responsibility" has never found an issue they couldn't blame on someone else.

It's all projection, all the time.

[–] Yamainwitch 6 points 1 year ago

[–] LEDZeppelin 68 points 1 year ago (3 children)

Remember “Thanks Obama!”?

[–] [email protected] 35 points 1 year ago (2 children)

It could be merged into "Thanks O'Biden!"

[–] RizzRustbolt 11 points 1 year ago

It’s a simple rule guys: it’s ALWAYS the president’s fault. Unless it’s their president, then it’s NEVER the president’s fault.

i heard someone talking about "Bidenflation" today

Couldnt have sounded dumber if he tried

[–] madcaesar 20 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Conservatives love nicknames. It's like they are 8 year olds.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 year ago

They really show off their creative flair when they try to mock "democrats" as "demon rats" or "demo craps" or something in all caps, and... Expect a little gold star or something?

The more flustered they are at random local news without a preexisting political bent, the more desperate they get lol.

[–] [email protected] 20 points 1 year ago (1 children)

That's sounds like the "Justin-flation" from Pierre Poilievre from the Conservatives in Canada...

America (including Canada) is getting in a dumb conservative hell...

I saw someone calling Democrats "commusocialists." That was great.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 year ago

That's a good one. It might top "I've done my research via Internet Explorer 5.0, horse dewormer for me please"

[–] JJROKCZ 4 points 1 year ago

I’ve heard hundreds of times, started in December of 2020. It was a dumb the first time as now

Why am I seeing a whole bunch of pictures of female Japanese adolescents dressed like Donald Duck?

[–] [email protected] 42 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (2 children)

Because it's a common Japanese school uniform. Why you're seeing a bunch of them is another question, but they're not actually dressed like Donald Duck purposely.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Is it related to WW2 era navy uniforms, like Donald Duck’s? Or is it some freak convergence?

[–] [email protected] 38 points 1 year ago (1 children)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/School_uniforms_in_Japan

The sailor fuku (セーラー服, sērā fuku) (lit. 'sailor outfit') is a common style of uniform worn by female middle school students, traditionally by high school students, and occasionally, elementary school students. It was introduced as a school uniform in 1920 at Heian Jogakuin (平安女学院)[9] and 1921 by the principal of Fukuoka Jo Gakuin University (福岡女学院),[10] Elizabeth Lee. It was modeled after the uniform used by the British Royal Navy at the time, which Lee had experienced as an exchange student in the United Kingdom.

Biden was in the Royal Navy in 1920. He was in his 50s at the time.

[–] Viking_Hippie 10 points 1 year ago

Because it's a common Japanese school uniform.

Which, in turn, is due to the fact that 63% of the information taught in Japanese schools is Donald Duck facts.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

..what's been going on this time?

[–] FlyingSquid 25 points 1 year ago (2 children)

A (probably drunk) guy at the Canadian-US border slammed his Bentley into a barrier after speeding up for some reason and his car exploded. Republicans decided it was a major terrorist attack and we should close the entire U.S. Canadian border and an Iranian passport was found near the car and all kinds of stupid nonsense.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

It's almost like North America's rampant and unmitigaed car dependency with almost no viable alternative modes of transport is responsible for more death and suffering than terrorism!

[–] FlyingSquid 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I'm certainly not worried about the Islamic terrorism that they were fearmongering about. I am worried about one of their fans committing a terrorist act.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

Especially since the US is all in on supporting "when they slap you on one cheek, genocide them on the other"

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago

got it, thanks.
