I have never related to a cat this much before.

I can relate… please don’t touch or annoy me or call me “fat” or ask if I’m pregnant at work. Respect.

Girl.... I once had a subordinate at work ask me if I was expecting. I was bloated and standing with my stomach out kind of holding my hand on my hip. She felt terrible when I said "nope, just fat..." I never held it against her in any way, but didn't feel good for sure.

Why anyone asks anyone this for any reason I cannot fathom.

[–] ickplant 9 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Don’t ask until you can see the baby crowning… even then wait until the birth announcement for good measure.

Is that a baby coming out...? You know what, nevermind...

The awkward exception to this is asking if a person wants your seat on a bus or subway.

Sounds like the store to visit if you want a quick judgement in your favor. Also...cat is wonderful.

My cat also act annoyed or sometimes visibly upset when I call him fat. I doubt that he understands what is fat or being called fat is a bad thing. Wonder why he is so sensitive about being called fat.

Tone of your voice

Maybe they understand more than we know. I'm giving my dog an extra treat tonight just in case. I call her "Miss Chonky Thighs."

This store seems frightening

[–] ickplant 22 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It is a very aggressive sign.... I wonder if Page made it herself.

As far as I can tell, in Charlotte, NC at the corner of The Plaza and Central Avenue. This is their site.

Proof (they're called "BookBuyersCLT" on Twitter):
