started with connect for lemmy. which is visually very clean but it neither has an edit comment function nor a block user function yet. lemming has both functions but loks a lot more clunky.

Wef wef is ok for now
Currently using a mix of Jerboa, Liftoff and web. Still waiting for the one app that can do it all.
Is there any that works well on desktop?
Liftoff is based on flutter have desktop version: Linux and windows. Mac version aren't listed on the github page but should be possible.
At the moment I'm just using the website, added to my home screen from the firefox app. It formats just fine on mobile, and it has all the features.
Thats what I did as well. Installed the PWA and placed it on my homescreen, where Sync for Reddit used to be. Soon, I will switch to Sync for Lemmy. ♥️
I'm using Jerboa
I'm not using lemmy but kbin. I'm just using the app shortcut that you can create in Chrome on Android. It works well enough for now
The web shortcut has been working excellent for me as well (firefox here). Be using that for time being. Monitoring Artemis for kbin though. Alpha looking VERY polished.
I tried Jerboa and it was very similar to RiF but too basic, I'm using Thunder rn and it's also similar to RiF but has more features than Jerboa, not perfect but definitely trending that way.
I'd like to see the content and user filtering capabilities that RiF has/had, as well as the security and privacy functionality.
I know this is more of a Lemmy side feature, but I'd also love for a "Top this Hour" sort as well.
Thunder for me
I'm using Liftoff.
jerboa most of the time : it's quite light (3,2Mo), it's on fdroid, it's pretty useable. But it's crashing a lot thèse days
Newbie here. Just installed Jerboa and two minutes later it shows "Network error". Installed Wefwef and it's ok. Taking notes to try the other ones.
Still learning about Lemmy and the communities to have an accurate opinion.
Currently thunder is the only one that works with my instance, lemmy.cafe.
Wefwef is good, but Sync is better imo
Edit - Got confused trying out so many. Wewef best I've found so far, Sync not yet available.
Started with Jerboa but started having issues with it. Now trying Liftoff and will probably give Connect a try also.
New user here. I use the Web app for now. Connect seems to make my phone freeze for whatever reason and I can't seem to login with jerboa because "my server version is too low"...
Started with Jerboa, but too many bugs, using Thunder now.
Jerboa is the most feature-complete, but it crashes pretty often and it adopts new Lemmy API versions a bit early, so all instances don't always have the time to get updated. Besides, the look is simple and functional, but I can't say it's pretty.
So far, I really like Thunder's looks, interface and UX. It's not very intuitive, but the swipe-based gesture system is really promising, and so far it's also the prettiestt. It still lacks many important features (editing posts and comments), but they're not essential enough to prevent me from using them, and I've been mostly browsing with that in the last few days.
Liftoff looks really good as well. As others said, it looks a lot like Infinity, which was my go-to Reddit app. However, I don't like the dark theme options we have so far: dark is too light, and AMOLED is a single black screen, which makes posts hard to distinguish at a glance. Once we get more theming options, I might switch to Liftoff.
Memmy on iOS is my favourite.
Only used connect so far so can't comment on the others. Feels nice and smooth, looks great and has some nice features. Liftoff seems to be the go to here, might check it out.
Currently the PWA for the most part. Jerboa is a close second but doesn't support gifs. I also have a custom theme on my instance which I like better than the Jerboa defaults.
Thunder.
I'm on kbin, so i guess i get no app until artemis is out :(
Still on my phone browser. So far not seeing any downside to it compared to PC browsing, so I think this will be fine.
I'm using Lemmy as an android pwa. Works well. I liked Jerboa but it was too buggy.
I'm moving between Connect, Jerboa, Thunder at the moment, they all have their positives and I can't pick just one yet.
Thunder and jerboa
