Is it just me or do I have federation issues? Stuff just barely shows on Lemmy.ml. Nothing updates over there, and I cannot see most post on my communitys. I cant even subscribe properly because it just says Subscription pending. Not a good Start on this platform. But well, it is not THAT far developed. Can someone help?

I think, but I'm not positive about this that it's an issue of them being on 0.18 and lemmy.world being on 0.17.4

Looks like we attempted to update but it didn't go well.

But this is not since today. That’s the problem.

0.18 was released six days ago and lemmy.world has been waiting to update until 0.18.1 comes out because 0.18 doesn't have Captchas. I've heard this has caused some federation issues but I'm most certainly not an expert on that.

Thanks. Because I’m most certainly also not an expert on that. ;)

I'm experiencing similar things:

  • Posts made here not appearing on other federated instances
  • Posts made by other federated instances disappearing or never appearing in communities here

I've checked with alt accounts created on lemm.ee and sh.itjust.works which are subscribed to the same communities.

@[email protected] Is there a federation issue?

Edit: I think this is a problem with all communities on lemmy.ml. I'm new to the fediverse concept, but the issue seems to specifically be with them.

Maybe it is even a Lemmy.ml issue? I honestly dont know.
