I have three candidates:

  1. https://wefwef.app

  2. Thunder

  3. Lemming

I'd put Jerboa in 4th until it gets functional again.

I've been using Liftoff. Less janky and nicer UI.

I liked it too, although I feel it is not as smooth as other clients.

Same here! Though I feel when Jerboa becomes usable again, it'll be #1 for me, until then Wefwef rules

Honestly all clients are awesome on its own and now I feel conflicted to use one or another LMAO.

Thunder, though jerboa has more functionality by a nose, and if it wasn't buggy for me, it might take top spot preference wise

I like jerboa usually but using it less until lemmy.world updates. Using connect as a backup. I like they are both able to be not card style.

Firefox for Android. Seriously, the website has all I need.

I just have my instance installed as a progressive web app with emails enabled for replies. It's a little roundabout I suppose, but my email will give me a notification when I get something.

I do not know about clients without Google services. But, I use lemmy sites in pwa and jerboa, thunder and liftoff. They were alright.

I’ve been using MemmyApp the most. It has been very good and it’s getting daily updates from the dev.

Sync - whenever it launches. :) Was my favorite reddit one.

Out of the current options I have tried (Connect, Jerboa, Liftoff and Thunder) I think my favorite is Liftoff.

Jerboa isn't compatible with my main instance, but I enjoyed using it as my first app before the others came out. Connect is seemingly slow to communicate between instances/communities for me and I am picky about some of its organizational features. Thunder does a decent job, probably close runner up to Liftoff. Going to keep trying each one as the apps and Lemmy itself develops.

Started with Jerboa, which was quite nice. Not perfect, but alright. It had more and more issues especially with lemmy version not being up to date on lemmy.world, so I tried others. Connect and Summit were not doing it for me but then I've found Liftoff - and it's great! There were some quirks with setting it up but overall it is real nice, has modern look and pretty much all I'd expect. There are some weird bugs with it though, will see how that shakes up.
