The old days of GDQ when pretty much anyone could just call dibs for a seat on the couch if the runner didn't have any commentators with them.
Pretty much since this incident, the runner sits separately from the couch, everyone on the couch is now there at the invitation of the runner, and in some cases there are people who just choose to not have a couch at all.
