Turns out I just missed the accented ç in garçons

The app is neat. Thank you for the tip.

E: I like that it integrates into the Android context menu as well. You can hit translate after selecting text.

Fantastic! I have a question regarding the app. I understand that it can translate words and text from pictures, but I also noticed a microphone feature which I assume is for voice dictation. How does the app process voice input? Is the voice data sent to a server for translation, and if so, who is responsible for handling this data?

There seems to be a discussion tab for questions on the git page, but it seems a bit dead in there...

I did find a possible answer in the issues but I don't know what it really means.

| PS: RECORD_AUDIO? Voice input?

Yes, exactly. But it's only available on devices having a STT service inbuilt (so with Google services), so I don't know if it actually works, lol.

Fronm this I guess it either used Google online, or some local voice to text included in the Google services.

Thanks for this, yeah I also looked at the privacy policy on GitHub and it was pretty well bare bones. I haven't ever used the voice to text function nor the dictation abilities on my phone due to Google services having mostly a monopoly over crunching the data. I know that now days we are starting to see more A.I driven services, and I'd admit that I am not 100% in the know, but I'd assume that Google will be handling this part of the translation as it's reliable and free.

This is incredible, thanks for the heads up, I've been looking an app like this for a good while.

This is an amazing app, especially the concurrent translate using all engines. Thank you

We have to thank @Bnyro - main developer of the application. He also develops the wonderful LibreTube :)

Looks great!

But.. Does anyone know of an app that live translates voice to text indefinitely?

So, I'm looking for something that I can leave running on my android phone and translate what it hears during a video call meeting into English from a different language.

I've looked everywhere but not found anything so far.
