Great 'cast. Evans is a funny guy and does some good research. Cool guests a bonus.

I love the sheer glee in his voice when he gets to talk about libertarians. I highly recommend his podcasts on Crypto, the Libertarian Sea Nations, and the Titan Sub. He also really understands deep internet lore and does a really good job explaining it in a way for people not as familiar with the topics. Case and point, I found the episode with the founder of 8-chan to be extremely informative and a great nuanced discussion on the value of free speech and the limits. Anything with Billy Wade Davies is a treat too.

I highly recommend the Behind the Police episodes about the history of policing in America. Also the Battle of Blair Mountain, which might be part of that series.

It's a great podcast. I've re-listened to the Joseph Mengele one 3 times.

Queuing that one up, thanks.

Just a word of warning: if a co-worker, roommate, or family member asks why you are giggling to yourself, replying "Oh I'm just listening to a podcast about Joseph Mengele" lacks KEY CONTEXT about the podcast.

One of my favourites. You can find many of their podcasts on their youtube channel ad free a little after its podcast release (at least, the video itself doesn't have ads, it's up to you to block YouTube's): https://www.youtube.com/@BehindTheBastards

I like their style. They show it's possible to talk about horrible things lightheartedly, without making the audience feel the hopelessnes in the face of human madnes and cruelty.

I also recomend the Last Podcast on The Left

I love what they are doing but had to stop listening to them because of hopelessness creeping in.

I think he overdoes the side bits, but I can ffw when that happens. I’ve learned a hell of a lot from this show. But sometimes, god, shut up and get back to the main content.

I enjoy Robert but have to agree a bit. I get so into the subjects but the digressions make me lose interest sometimes.

It's definitely more personality-driven, so if you're not into Robert or his humor style, it can impact your enjoyment. Like for me, his bits almost always land so I really like when he gets sidetracked.

I've been a long time listener, but increasingly dislike Robert. He has some great guests on. I've found some other podcasts thanks to him.

I mostly don't mind, but sometimes. Similar complaint about the guys at Last Podcast on the Left. Sometimes, just stop and get back on the road. But it's mostly fine.

I've been listening for a while. I'm listening chronologically, so I think I'm around April 2019 or so right now. With the demise of Google podcasts, is there a better choice for Android apps?

I've been using Pocket Casts for about 5 years now, and I love it. Although, I've been thinking about switching to AntennaPod, because it's Open Source

[–] CoriolisSTORM88 2 points 11 months ago

I'll look at Pocket Casts, and Antennapod. I like the idea of it being open source. Thanks!

Podcast Addict is my preference.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

Same. It has so many great customizable settings.

I'll look into it. Definitely dig the open source aspect mentioned below. Thanks!

My favorite series of theirs: Vince McMahon (May 15, 2023), the Moonies (Mar 8, 2022), and Bobby Fisher (Feb 14, 2023).

I love the ones where he reads from Ben Shapiro books

[–] iamnotdave 4 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)

Who would have thought that vince would be the longest running series

[–] terribletortoise 3 points 11 months ago (1 children)

My recommendation for first listeners is John McAfee. Those episodes are so off the wall.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

Or the Tiger king one!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 11 months ago

The recent episodes on G. Gordon Liddy are pretty good too.

Love BtB and Cool Zone Media in general, especially that they post their references on their website.
