Boost, hands down! It was my favourite for Reddit and is still just as amazing in it's Lemmy version.

Same.
Used Liftoff before Boost became available but it was buggy. As soon as boost was released it was a no-brainer, moved straight over. The familiarity from using it with reddit is excellent, has a great feel and everything just works how it should.
Just installed Boost. So far, it's feeling so much better than either Jerboa or Connect.
Sync is amazing!
Yep, sync with some tinkering in the settings brings me great comfort.
I think that's a thing that some people miss about it, it's incredibly customisable
That's precisely why I think it's far superior than most other clients. You can tweak it to be exactly how you want.
Been using Eternity for a while now, works great. Handles lemmy links pretty well too.
Boost! @rmayayo did such a great port. Best Reddit app, best lemmy app... On Android ;P
Boost. I used it's reddit app exclusively because I liked it so much, and the Lemmy version is perfect too. 10/10
Boost for Lemmy
Really enjoying Voyager so far. Avaliable as Android, iOS and PWA and best of all open-source ans free.
No, it's Sync
I like sync. But I also like that there are so many different answers here. Seems to bode well for the fediverse.
Connect for Lemmy. It's a lot like Relay for Reddit was. And it lets you block users, communities, instances. I still have Thunder app and the /kbin instant app installed, but after the first month I rarely use them. Connect is great.
Thunder. It gives me that Relay for Reddit experience and I've not needed to switch ever since downloading it.
Came to vote for Eternity. Was an Infinity user when I was on the other place, so was really happy to see it land here too.
Firefox.
Seriously. Every app I've tried has come up short in one way or another. Lemmy is best in a browser and the best browser is Firefox.
Sync for Lemmy
I've been using sync pretty much every day since it became available, it was my Reddit client of choice too, so it's helped me cut Reddit out entirely.
Sorry to go slightly off topic, but does anyone know if any of the iOS apps have a similar experience to sync, particularly those with iPad support?
Boost is perfect, I used jerboa for a long time and is too buggy for me
I hopped over to Boost as soon as it was available. I was on Jerboa before but that was finicky.
I like experimenting and switching, so no choice is ever "final". Speaking of open source apps: Jerboa is the only native (kotlin+jetpack compose) for Android and its author is one of the very creators of Lemmy itself so he is an authority and I really like his "philosophy". Thunder offers a very polished and appealing UI/UX. Liftoff is feature rich even though somehow buggy. Apart from the mere app features, the community, the developer attitude, its being an open platform etc. are all factors to consider in my opinion.
Using Connect. Pretty happy with it so far. Feels smooth and snappy. Best of all, it doesn't collect any personal data.
Voyager and Eternity
Thank you! I didn't realize there was an Infinity remake for Lemmy! I think I might stick with it! (I'm typing this from the Eternity app rn)
Yep. Eternity is great.
I've been a long time Relay user, so it was difficult for me to adjust with the different Lemmy apps. But I've customized Eternity enough that I'm liking it now.
I'm using this Ponyo theme & it's awesome.
Liftoff and Sync are both amazing.
I also use Thunder but voyager is my go to app. I've tried most of the others but always end up back with voyager.
Second that. I tried Sync and Boost but ended up liking Voyager better.
My favourite is Jerboa, what issues are you having with it?
Mostly it's just sightly clunky ui. I'm coming from Tusky for Mastodon for context. It's not really anything specific, just a general feel.
Loving Thunder! Have tried all the others.
Sync was nice. But Boost is back! Was my favorite reddit app for years.
Jerboa I keep around, just in case. It was the first one I used. It is clunky, sadly. It just stutters way too much for some reason.
Boost mostly and Eternity.
Went back to Jerboa, as the rest is worse in my experience. Thunder maybe?
i gave up on jerboa in the earlier days and moved to Connect. havent felt the need to move on from that since then.
Jerboa may have improved since i used it though so don't that this as me slating it. Jerboa is developed by the same dev that writes the main lemmy backend and webapp so obvs he needs to prioritise that
Boost is best no doubt.
But for low end phones (like mine), Jerboa is a good alternative.
I have tried Connect, Sync, and Jerboa. They're all pretty nice, but Jerboa just "feels right" to me. Former BaconReader user fwiw
Summit because it's the only app with moderation features implemented. I'll revisit other apps once they get to that part of their respective roadmaps.
Liftoff
...Jerboa.
Thunder also pretty good
I prefer Sync but I can't figure out how to embiggen all text, so comments and stuff are fine but the actual text of a post is miniscule so I'm back on Voyager. I find the navigation a bit clunky but overall it's good. I also used connect for a while but it was slow.
Edit: thanks everyone who linked settings but none of those are it. Here is an example of what I see on posts in sync vs the comments. I also forgot it doesn't give me in app notifications if I get a message or response. I don't want push notifications but it doesn't give me in app notifications either. https://i.imgur.com/iUY2Sfw.png
Liftoff.
Was a Boost user and was excited for it to come out for Lemmy, but the post creation process doesn't look to do all what I want it to do, so I'm still using Liftoff.
If I was just lurking, I'd be using Boost because it looks great, but Liftoff gives me a similar browsing experience with better posting.
