Whoa 12 AM PST, so 3 AM EST qualifiers. I guess I'll be watching that on replay lol.

I knew it would be late, but I didn't realize they'd bend over that hard to accommodate European market.

I guess us n USA need to remember we are still the minority in this sport πŸ€ͺ

It's funny because most start times feel they've been shuffled around to accommodate US viewers, many start around 8a-11a EST. But on home turf, 3am it is!

I think FOM have got themselves in a difficult position because they wanted a night race for the spectacle (so much more important than the racing). But doing it on the western side of America makes it tricky time-wise for their biggest audience. The ultra-late racing is probably a compromise that'll please no one.

I'm on Pacific time and even I'm considering just watching the replay

Very confusing to see everything a day early until I realised what they've done to deal with time zones! Race is 8am UTC, i.e. Sunday morning.

Yikes!… but then again it’s Las Vegas.

I get more of a lie-in than I did for Suzuka!

Definitely not even going to attempt to watch this live, and I'm just a time zone earlier. Ridiculous of them to have a race so late. People were complaining about the heat affecting drivers in Qatar, just straight up being tired is gonna have an effect here.

They won't even have jetlag. Even in Singapore they had darkened hotel rooms to adopt to the European time zone. The time of the race is there to cater to the European viewership.
