I'd think this type of behavior is more about social anxiety than introversion.

Hahah whaaaattt no way, I'm sure anxiety has nothing to do with it....yeah pretty sure at least. I mean I don't have anxiety, everyone gets anxious sometimes I'm just a bit more sensitive because I'm trying to be polite. And yeah maybe I think about things a bit more deeply than is warranted sometimes but that's not anxiety, I'm just an observant and analytical type of person. It doesn't impact my life all that much, I tend to prefer to stay inside or be by myself anyway so it's fine. So yeah, nothing to do with anxiety, everything is allllll good.

This shit again? Introverts aren't afraid of talking to people. Those problems stem from different afflictions. If you can't openly communicate, you may have some kind of social phobia which is probably treatable. Introversion is not the problem. It is not causing it.

Ohhhh but then come the thoughts...

Damn, this definitely isn't what I ordered and I don't want to eat it but I just panicked... what do I do? It's too late now.

Wait, didn't that nearby table order around the same time as me? What if this is one of their dishes and they're about to get one of mine? They can see what I'm eating, they're going to know I'm eating one of their dishes and ask why I didn't tell her.

Oh god it's their meal coming out now, it looks like the thing I ordered. Maybe if I just leave now they won't have time to realise I'm eating their dish. But then I'll draw attention to myself and make it more likely they'll notice.... oh no... they're giving their dish a strange look and calling back the waitress.... it's all over.

I guess it's not too bad really. I've been thinking of moving towns for a while, starting over. Maybe this is just the final push.

Oh...they were just asking about when the drinks they ordered are coming. Ok, I guess I'll just...try to calm down and finish my meal

Depends on whether I like whatever was given to me or not. I ain't paying for something I won't eat!

My brain: "if you send it back they'll spit in your food"

I used to order the same complicated sliders from Sheetz every day, and I liked it when they got it wrong because it meant variety without me having to choose.
