Me, using the thunder app from github with sopuli.xyz on v18:

Is it actually good? I tried it and it seems a bit unfinished.
Oh, it is, many missing features, several come to mind: no way to mark anything as read, not even notifications, you can't open the profile of a commenter, no saving images...
But the UI is pretty, you can already save, vote, and reply to stuff, and development is active. But clearly there's good reason for the app to only be on github for now. It's my favorite so far in terms of UX.
I think itβs further along than some of the other alternatives.
Itβs not perfect by any means, but the developer is cranking out updates like crazy, and itβs fun to see it get better with every alpha release.
For example, you used to not be able to swipe to dismiss an image, but now you can!
They are unfinished.
Having to wait for Blajah to update to 0.18.1 so Jerboa stops randomly crashing because I updated without thinking
Try Liftoff, it's pretty good! (Might not be as feature-complete yet though)
Another vote for Connect. All these apps are brand new, so check them out.
So many things I rely on are broken in 0.18 tho. PWA and community search are like the 2 things I use the most
comment from Lemmy.world instance.
At least for me Jerboa works as long as I use the github version
only if you're logged in from a previous version
Yes! So much this. I've jumped ship and started using another app called liftoff. It's got bugs because it's just as new as all the other apps around right now but it works with the current version and I like it. Might not go back but it's nice to have options
Connect for Lemmy is working well for me
