I just beat this game last night, is deserves all the praise it's been getting and more. It feels like a love letter to Chrono Trigger in particular and is extremely well done. The art and level design is absolutely top notch.

Couldn't have said it better. This game really is a masterpiece, and a good spiritual successor.
