Ok DT, I have decided to take the new job offer! Short term, I lose a bit of cash (it was bound to happen because I make a LOT of penalties), but long term I make myself infinitely more employable and can start to think about settling down.

The absolutely massive win is I will now after a stupid number of years return to normal 9-5pm life! I am ridiculously excited, I miss my friends and family, and just having a normal weekend.

Just got an officially diagnosed as being autistic level 2 not sure i feel yet. But man it explains a lot.

Once upon a time we had a public holiday called Show Day. The reason behind it was so that people from rural areas and working class families could enjoy a day out to the Royal Melbourne Show and inject a bit of cash into the economy. Not everybody went but it was still a good day off to spend with your family.

Then our Premier at the time Jeff Kuntett decided we had too many public holidays and scrapped it. A few years ago Dan reinstated it and rebranded it as Grand Final Parade Day where the 2 teams who will be competing on Saturday in the grand final can slowly hoon down the street to adoring waving fans.

So you might think why a day off (No one's complaining) before a football game? Well my little essay explains why.

Well the neighbours' cat came inside and butters chased it back out.

They were staring at each other for a few mins then the other cat decided to get a bit closer. Butters gave it a little bop on the head and then they just sat there together looking at birds.

Looks like they've sorted out their differences.

I was expecting a little cat brawl.

So spent the morning tidying up and cleaning, the afternoon seeing the real estate agents and chasing things up...
Long story short, the house is on the market and it feels like a huge burden has rolled off my shoulders.
Now to get it cleaned out and sold!

I feel like shit lately. Physically and mentally. Easily getting very cranky, absolutely bored with everything. Constantly stressed.

I’m just putting one foot in front of the other. Caring for my cat and plants, doing the bare minimum essential tasks and trying to avoid anything that makes it worse.

I'm going to meet a friends' cats for the first time this afternoon, I'm looking after them this weekend while she goes interstate, and I know from previous conversations that they're obsessed with tea tree oil.. so I've spritzed myself with tea tree oil. THEY WILL LOVE ME.

Bill and Ted spent 3 hours running around this morning, a few little hisses and one chase but otherwise not bad. Ted is now closed off in the upstairs rooms and I can rest.

Jeez its raining cars today! My new car is coming because I had to sell my old car (which I loved!) to finish the loan on the Mrs's piece of shit car because it was looking like we'd have to write it off. Turns out no! Because not 3 hours after I get told my new car is ready I get a call saying they fixed the mrs piece of shit car! So now I get to sell that for not a loss! It does mean my house is gonna look like car city for a couple of weeks, but in effect I just got told I got 10k back in my budget! Huge win!

I can't stop laughing at this news article of a thief who stole a vac full of angry hornets. Writer absolutely channeled their inner pratchett.

Taking a breather from sorting out stuff. I've "sorted" some of Miniest Peeler's things, my receipts and now have a bag of stuff to dispose of. I've also gone through all the swimming stuff with the kids and our hat "collection," and there's now 1½ garbage bags of stuff to go to charity. Nice.

To beer or not to beer? That is the question.

For those of you who are seeing other Daily Threads: Is there another scandal or something happening at the other place? Seeing an unusual uptick of new users today.

Not sure whether to be worried, when NZ had a sudden influx of new accounts a couple of weeks ago, they were then used to spam.

Butters has found his spot in the house and it's different to his old spot (which was in the garage) and he's relaxed about it. little man is having a good snooze which makes me believe he's happy and feels safe.

It'd be pretty fucked mentally for the little guy. You've got 3 silly neighbour dogs, bunch of outdoor neighbour cats and birds.. little dude is doing great. It'd be a full on environment but he's handling things.

Just over 2 hours of work before just over 2 weeks of leave... am dragging myself over the line by this point!!

Fellow cat peeps: Do you leave out all the interactive toys or cycle them around? I bought a bunch of new toys for Gibson today and not sure because I don't want her to get sick of them quickly.

Also how do I post a picture that isn't the wrong way around? Would love to share some Gibson pics!

RAFFWU members working at Coles and Woolworths will be striking on Saturday 7 October between 10 AM and 12 noon. Their demands are living wages, safer workplaces & secure jobs.

If you would like to show solidarity with these workers, you might consider avoiding Coles and Woolworths at that time.

Cycling past Victoria Park on my way to work this morning. Extra loos & rubbish bins, and a shit tonne of security fencing. You'd think they were planning some sort of event in the near future.

The kid's asked to play backgammon. Time to act innocent and wipe the floor with her. It's her first time playing.

Couldn't get back to sleep as the moment I started drowsing something would pop into my brain that needed to be done. Plus I was suddenly really hungry.
Cats have already blessed me with a stinky shit and a hairball... well more of a hair tube. Better now than just as the estate agents are knocking on the door, I suppose...

Super social day. Fun, needed but now exhausted.

Ready to have a day at home, in my PJs, with my blanket, phone & Switch and do NOTHING. Recharge required.

Work day done. I am le tired.

So I like the flavours of bubble teas but I don’t like boba. So I don’t get it very often. But I just had a thought… what if I just order it without the boba? Why have I only just come to this realisation? Brain you really work slow sometime.

My boss was nice and bought bubble tea today. But man I'm keen for the long weekend!
