I'd argue that eating a banana with a spoon and a sweater around your neck at Starbucks is even less straight than the normal way.
I attended a fundamentalist university (fml) where the women ate bananas in a similar fashion: curve up, one strip of peel off, with a spoon. Same reason as many in this thread have mentioned: too โunseemlyโ to eat it the normal way. ๐

I thought it was going to be peeling the whole thing and eating it like corn on the cob.
Well it's unusual but I can see the benefits... like you don't have a mass of peel you have to deal with. Just scrape out the inside and eat at a lesiurely pace.
That guy is living his best life, and doesn't give two craps if anyone else likes it or not. Good for him.
So what's the opposite of this? Ripping the banana in half and inhaling it?
