2019 → Dissociation → 2024!?!?

What are you talking about? It's just the 237th week of March 2019. Coming up on the Ides any day now.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago

This is real. There are things I just started in 2019 that feel like they were just the other day.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

But seriously. My head is still stuck in 2019 even if my body is here in 2023.

I appreciate you, @The_Picard_Maneuver. For your love of TNG and the quality content you put out into the Lemmy verse. Thank you 👍

Thanks, friend!

When did TNG become SNG? Just wondering if I missed a memo.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

It didn’t. I just messed up. TNG is correct.

Every. Fucking. Year. Nowadays.

I guess year length has contracted

[–] MCForTheBest 3 points 1 year ago

My grandmother always used to tell me that time becomes shorter the older you become

Sure, but I prefer left if you're willing to budge.

September birthday here (today in fact), can confirm I didn't see it getting here so quickly.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Happy birthday! And happy early birthday for whenever you blink next.

Thanks man, and thanks for keeping Lemmy lively, I always appreciate seeing you around (shout out to the XCOM Lemmy)

Thanks, here's hoping it's a better year ahead!

I had a burn out and had been home recovering for about 4 months from January, and only slowly building back up since May, and have been back fully since late August, so it definitely feels like this. Time passes really quickly and unremarkably when you sit at home doing 'nothing'.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

Yep, I remember reading that novelty makes time feel longer, because your brain doesn't have to process as much when you're doing something you've done a million times.

Personally I feel like this summer was far longer than it needed to be

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Summers only gonna be longer and hotter from here out.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

Summer really isn't that hot here. It's like 10°C cooler than it was last year

[–] CaptPretentious 10 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Man this hits so hard. Feels like I just got done clearing out snow and doing taxes. Never got the snowblower ready for summer because I'll 'so it this weekend' and now I need to get it ready for this next season.

That's a life pro tip if I've ever heard one. Procrastinate until you don't have to any more.

Eh I'll never live to see it, I'm worried it's gonna be 120° F where I live when I'm in my 60's...

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

Relatable imao.

Fall is here!

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I love when it happens cos I'm in flow mode. Doesn't last months tho.

[–] spacebirb 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

You love when you just miss entire months of your life?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

No, I love when time passes without me realizing it cos I'm doing something that requires my full attention.
