Truly started the year with a bang.
Technically correct is the best kind of correct
Looks like the refs are going to be very persnickety this year. I didn't see any personal fouls when offsetting ones were called.
I wonder if Kelce would've swung the game, Vegas thought he was worth an entire point. It was as close as it could be points wise, and Kelce is probably the best catcher on the team, especially with the rubber band hands the chiefs had.
Unless of course you’re the chiefs left tackle, then obviously anything goes
Yeah, it took a while before the first flag was even thrown. I'm not trying to think of what ifs...
Yeah the drops are what ruined it for KC. Obviously the pick 6, then the one that would have gotten them field goal range, and I think there were a couple that cost them first downs late in the fourth as well. All those passes ranged from catchable to perfect, can't imagine the frustration as QB.
This. If Toney catches even one of his multiple stupid drops, I think the outcome is reversed.
The game was close enough one of either Chris Jones or Kelce probably would’ve swung it. The defense still did good against what’s supposed to be a good offense but there were a few runs that gashed right up the middle for a big chunk of yards and Jones probably would’ve helped there.
Cautiously optimistic sounds about right for the Lions. There's been a lot of improvement over the past couple years, and the other teams in the division have either not done much to improve or taken steps back in the offseason (especially Green Bay), but the other division teams haven't taken a regular season snap yet this season. It's too early to tell if this is the Lions' division to lose like all the talking heads keep proclaiming it to be. Right now they're the trendy pick, but if things happen such as Love becoming even an above-average but not superstar QB or the Vikings' defense takes a big step up under Flores, the Lions may still not find themselves running away with it.
The NFC North is gonna be a tough division to play this year ᵉˣᶜᵉᵖᵗ ᶠᵒʳ ᵗʰᵉ ᴮᵉᵃʳˢ.
