Does Switch Online have save states? If so, don't be afraid to use them. It's more punishing than newer Fire Emblem games.

They do, but for NES and SNES, I haven't played any game in other apps yet. Will check when I start.

I played this as a kid and got decently far into the game before I got stuck.

I started working my way through the GBA and DS library last month. I’m excited to revisit this game as an adult.
