I was going through my posts, looking for a certain one, when I realized that almost two weeks of images seem to be just... gone? Is this related to the image cache purge?

Uploading pictures is temporarily disabled due to safety. Meta post will follow soon.

Yes. To make sure all the unwanted content is going, they did a blanket purge of the week it happened.
