Still to date one of my favorite games ever made in the indie space. It's crazy how much springs from so little in it.
Patient Gamers
A gaming sub free from the hype and oversaturation of current releases, catering to gamers who wait at least 12 months after release to play a game. Whether it's price, waiting for bugs/issues to be patched, DLC to be released, don't meet the system requirements, or just haven't had the time to keep up with the latest releases.
Thanks for this. It's been on my list of games to play for a long time.
Although I donβt like the art style much, the gameplay is fantastic, and the atmosphere dense
The behind the scenes where he talks about the art style is really amazing. Like how he kept it as minimalist as possible but still having to show enough to capture details.
And the design choices on that Molotov scene, which lead to the removal of the sniper mechanic that didn't fit.
Also all the consideration to resizing the game for mobile, and UI.
Probably one of my favorite behind the scenes in a long time.
Thanks for the review, subscribed! I'll try it out. It seems oddly compelling!
It's amazing that his follow-up, Return of the Obra Dinn is just as brilliant but in a completely different genre.
