Republicans are literally illiterate. They're the ones misusing they, their, they're on the internet. Burning books is ok to them because they can't read anything more than 140 characters.
My conservative friend went on a whole tirade about some children's picture book with cartoon gay felacio depicted in it, that had been in some Middle School library. Something something liberal agenda.
I was very confused why he cared so much. I remember seeing real pictures of sex, boobs, vags, dicks, balls, etc in my school library under different educational contexts. Big deal. Teenage boys would show the diamond in the rough from the encyclopedias or anatomy books, giggle, and move on with their lives. I know I certainly did.
A cartoon gay bj isn't going to turn your kid gay. Particularly when it wasnt even in your State. And the school removed it from their shelves anyway. Why do you need to spend your energy being outraged by it?
Wo wo wo, you didn't mention the part about pictoral sex until the end. Regardless of gay or straight, that shouldn't be allowed in a school.
