I kept pushing her and harrassing her and ended up killing her with my last living party member who would have for sure does the next round. It was insanely fun and I loved the whole experience.

Shoved her off the cliff with eldridge blast + repelling blast invocation. I love that cantrip.

NO! My loot! *hammers the F8 key*

I pushed her off a cliff with laezel and then checked a guide to see what loot I missed. Cursed real hard and reloaded.

What level does everyone kill her at? I tried after I turned level 3 while looking for the Goblin Camp but her minions fucked my shit up so I reloaded and helped the Tieflings instead.

I think I did it at five. It was about the last thing I did before moving on to act 2. I started it at 2 or 3 and it was just too hard. By the time I went back I had the amulet that gives an extra magical missile and it trivializes it. I could just magic missile the clones and they'd instantly be gone. I probably could have done it the first time, but there was plenty of other things to do and the hardest difficulty is unforgiving.

I hit level 4 right as I got to her hut. I did the whole thing without a long rest, but had a few lucky misses from enemies.

I got her at lvl3 but it was close and the girl died.

The girl died when I fought her too, because she teleported the girl into MY Cloud of Daggers, which was maybe the coolest thing I've seen the enemy AI do all game.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 10 months ago

I beat Ethel with a cloud of Daggers, then once the fight ended the fucking pregnant chick ran into my Cloud and became hostile to me so I had to knock her out fuck me

[–] [email protected] 2 points 10 months ago

She did the same thing in my playthrough! I put out the flames, dropped the daggers on her, then she pulled her into it. She turned invisible on me, so I covered the area with grease where I last saw her fade, and she fell on her ass lol. What a fun fight!

I completely missed her initially, only stumbled upon her by mistake after already having started Act 2 but going back to finish up side stuff in the Underdark and discovering the mushroom circle.

I was level 6 at the time and so she did not put up much of a challenge.

Yeah, I may just have to finish killing the Goblin leaders and then I'll be equipped enough to take her. Especially with Halsin as an ally.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 10 months ago (2 children)

I have not yet figured out how to get Halsin as an ally. He just kind of chills at my camp. I don't particularly care for him though, so I don't mind.

[–] Cynicalinsurrection 1 points 10 months ago

If you help him with something half way thru act 2 he will offer to join you.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Oh I didn't know you could lol. I thought he was like Withers and Volvo and just chills in the camp the whole time

[–] [email protected] 2 points 10 months ago (1 children)

It seemed like maybe he can be a companion later based off of how some people were talking about him on here, but I have no idea. Didn't play Early Access and haven't checked spoilers.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Yeah been trying to avoid them too. I just hit lvl 7 but I don't think I'm that far in I explored everything I could lol

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

I'm just about to hit level 7, so we're probably around the same place. Going to head into Moonrise Tower soon.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

I totally missed her and found her at level 5 after doing a bunch of the underdark lol

[–] PoetSII 1 points 10 months ago

I think I did it at 4? Wasn't too difficult, until the last round where 3/4 of my party were Hold Person'd lol

[–] WorldlyIntrospection 2 points 10 months ago

I love this because Larian got wise to my shenanigans since the pre-release. I didn't think there was an easy way to keep her from retreating to her basement anymore

In the pre-release daysyou could just corner her or block the entrance to the basement (after a successful perception roll) with your party or the environment and keep her trapped upstairs.
Looks like they have given her...misty step...if I remember correctly, so she'll just slip away into the basement if you're not able to put out enough damage in a single round

Did it work? I would be concerned that she just does her scuttle off to her cavern.

[–] Bort 1 points 10 months ago

It was very effective. Brought her down to 29 health. I had the rest of my team hiding so they could all take shots at her. Finished her off in one round

[–] [email protected] 0 points 10 months ago

So the first time I killed her, it opened a dialogue where I could finish her off or let her escape.

The second time, this dialogue didn't go off and I have no idea why. I did nothing different.
