I'm sure, but I guess as a big white dude in the states, I don't feel like I have to do a lot of worrying. Also I don't like things in my pocket.

Absolutely. My father and grandfather do as well. Nobody wants to be helpless against an aggressor and a CCW is one of the best options out there to be prepared.
