Dude was obviously baited into a staged situation. Words are worthless anyways. People that focus on words are imbeciles. Actions are what matter. Words are as hollow and meaningless as intentions.

These propaganda posts need to go. Nothing about this is news or relevant. It is Goebbels' Garbage.

Yep if Trump wanted those minerals so bad (borderline extortion) why did he and his lapdog immediately fuck up the meeting? Either he's stupid (entirely possible) or it was a setup and they never planned for the deal to go through. Maybe trying to get further concessions from Ukraine.

First of all it was Trump who wanted and came up with the deal, why would it be "a setup and they never planned for the deal to go through"?
It was Zelensky that fucked up, went off script and tried to hijack the event, insulted Trump many times during the more cordial first 40 minutes.

1). Trump said USA gave most money to Ukraine, Z said no they didn't, EU gave more, Trump said no we did, Z started arguing, Trump smiled, said well discuss it later, patted Z on the back.

2). Zelensky said the war was between Ukraine and Russia, and that USA could be allowed in negotiation after peace as a partner... And I think this really pissed off Vance and Trump.

3). Zelensky said that "maybe if you believe the Russian lies," in response to one of Trump's statements, as if he was on r/politics.

4). he trotted out those pictures, with that condescending tone, acting like Trump is just a big orange dummy that needs his kindergarten lesson in war. He literally talks to Trump like he is a child while handing him the pictures.

Think about #4 for a minute to get a grasp on the arrogance. Do you think pows were not discussed behind close doors? Of course they were. So Z trots out these pictures like Trump was unaware of the situation, handing him pictures like he was going to give Trump a lesson, and this might be when Vance started to lose his cool.

Also his little coke twitches became more apparent after some time.
He can't pretend to be normal for 40 minutes.

True. For several reasons.

That is a VERY common political method. "Stupid" suggestions that will never get accepted comes up every day for various reasons.

1). Trump said USA gave most money to Ukraine, Z said no they didn't, EU gave more, Trump said no we did, Z started arguing, Trump smiled, said well discuss it later, patted Z on the back.

What was he supposed to do? Just accept it? If he does fight the lies, more people will think that Trump is right.

Now people saw that Trump had nothing to back up his claim.

And how is that a mistake?

Sounds interesting, I'd like to see that part. Can you provide a link with a timestamp? I tried finding it myself but found nothing.

It is very common to re-enact when the cameras are on. This was Trumps chance to show compassion.

I just rewatched that bit trying to see it from your angle, and I don't see it at. He spelled out some stuff that any world leader shouldn't need to be told, I assume that was for the cameras.

Although you could be right, that Zelensky is approaching Trumps childish language. But even if that is true, how is this something that would upset Trump? Most people appreciate when you use their own way of communication, except when their way is some variation of bullying.

Haven't got much time but will say this:

That could be a possibility, especially since the magic minerals have been promised to the UK in their 100 year deal.

Then it would be a very elaborate and convoluted way to get out of ukraine without looking (more) like losers.

The rest of your points show you think the same as Zelenski.
It's politics, you keep that indoors and this event is for the media.
You play the part and certainly don't lose your cool or try to make a point.
Like you and me, he is not a politician and can't control himself.
He has been described by his own entourage last year as completely unreasonable.
This thing was a deal where he need to compromise yet he goes back into his fanatic stance.
Facts call for compromise and acceptance, not his utopic unrealistic total victory.
All this was a sad spectacle.
Either way, it will not be the US or Ukraine who decide.
Mineral deal or not.
The Russians will have the final say.
The European vasals 2 cents wanting to give safety guarantees is even more of a farce.
They can not back that up and there will be no EU or US soldiers in Ukraine.
That was clearly stated as a red line from the start and would mean retaliation against the countries that took part. WW3
The west didn't dare risk it when they were in a much better position. Certainly not now.

EDIT: I'm just trying to say that his face is very communicative. He's a skilled actor who can emote with his face and body language to communicate his position to the audience, at times without even having to get a word in edgewise.

Remember that Zelenskyy was an actor before he was a politician.

The purpose of the staged show was to reinforce that Europe needs to protect Ukraine and can no longer rely on America.

Zelenskyy did a great job with his facial expressions. Really sold the emotions.

Now he's in Europe asking for money and regrouping. The performance hammered home that America is out of the game. That was the point.

It is an action to dramatize and broadcast the mismatch in priorities between two world leaders who built their careers on television. Closing a relationship is an action. It was done on stage because that is a setting where these men are comfortable and where their fans are accustomed to seeing them.

Zelenskyy probably read the room and had a plan in case something like this was going to happen.

Zelenskeyy walked away from this showing that the breakup with the USA wasn't his fault and that he was willing to explore costly options for peace provided there were security guarantees. He then immediately went to Europe to tie up his support there.

If the USA is no longer going to support Ukraine, that was a great show to shift the blame onto Trump.

There's a difference between being "in on it" and "knowing how sth is going to go". Also, I don't know, I have no idea how the man thinks. But insinuating that the entire thing was staged by ALL participants working together, as this post seems to do (and I'm asking if that's the case), is a bold claim.

Oh, I didn't think that was what op meant. I think he meant Zalensky knew what was going to happen, and intentionally chose to walk into it so he could then pivot and show Europeans that America is out. I didn't think it was scripted. But expected.

Not what I was saying though. Zalensky seems like a person that puts all the cards on the table and plays an honest game. Trump, as his own sister has said in interviews, "has no ethics whatsoever." That is an assessment I believe. The same has been said about Musk. Everyone in that room but Zalensky sees more value in Russian business than in Ukrainian. Every person in that room is also aware that appeasing Russia will result in WW3. The difference is that everyone but Zalensky is fine with WW3, because it solves the climate problem in a profitable way for the oligarchy. It isn't a climate problem it is a population problem, and war is the classic form of population control. This is brutal high Machiavellian logic and exactly how people with no ethics think "outside of the box."

The entire meeting was intended to create a reason not to support Ukraine. The real evidence is in how all the media outlets are covering this disproportionately after they fell in line with the criminal government control over the media. The volume of nonsense is massively disproportionate to the magnitude of the event. That is clear evidence that the entire mainstream media apparatus is garbage. It is like Nazi propaganda, aka "Joseph Goebbels’ class garbage."
